March 11th Children's Rosary

Sunday Morning with Our Lady

Despite the time change and losing an hour of sleep the children were up and ready for the rosary on Sunday morning.  We had a new member, Kyle(blue shirt).  His grandmother Sandy brought him. He was so well behaved and knelt in front of Our Blessed Mother with the other children.  As each decade was finished one of the children placed a rose at the feet of Mary.  We humbly asked Mary to bestow the gifts of each decade.

Today it was wonderful to see some of the smaller children like Angie in the purple dress and her brother Peter in green leading the rosary with help from their mother.  We began our rosary praying that all of the children, their families and our members not present will be the extended hands of Our Blessed Mother and her Son. We prayed that we may all experience renewal of family prayer and spread it across the globe.  We prayed for the intentions in our petition box, those intentions kept in the hearts of members of the children's rosary both present and at home.

We were all especially grateful to have Monique and her daughter Sofia with us today. (Sofia is second from the right in the striped shirt).  Monique was just released from the hospital this past week and is still recovering from pancreatitis. They were unable to join us last month. Monique was kind enough to take these pictures Sunday despite her illness. May God shower graces upon their family in this time of need.

The children genuinely show joy in praying with Our Lady.  Today the children were joined in Spirit by the 41 Saints who have been invited to join the children's rosary through individual nine day novenas.  Individually each Saint was asked to pray for us and with us.

St. Michael

Pope Benedict XVI
We always finish the rosary with a prayer to St. Michael the Archangel and lastly prayers for our Holy Father the Pope.
