Mass Offered for Members of the Children's Rosary on January 25, 2022

A Mass was offered on January 25th for all the members of the Children's Rosary and all who help the Children's Rosary.  We continue to have a Mass celebrated for this intention on the 25th of the month. The Eucharist is such a powerful gift from Our Lord that when we wanted to extend thanksgiving to all of you we knew of no better way to express our gratitude.  May Our Lord's love be poured down on all of you through the powerful sacrifice of the Holy Mass.

The picture above is the Children's Rosary at San Vicente Ferrer Chapel, Kilapagan, Canayan, Malaybalay City Bukidnon. This new group began on December 12, 2021. We wish to welcome this new Children's Rosary group!

Novena for Christian Unity January 18-26 2022

Novena for Christian Unity through the Intercession of Bl. Maria Gabriella

God, please hear our supplication through the intercession of Bl. Maria Gabriella for Christian unity. May each of us and the Children's Rosary be an instrument in Your hands to knit all that has been pulled apart into one tapestry of prayer, love, and peace doing all according to Your Holy Will.

Remembering the words from Scripture when Our Lord prayed, "May all be one; even as You Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me". (John 17:21) Amen.

For 9 days, please say 3 Glory Be prayers each day accompanied by the prayer above.

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity begins on January 18, 2022. We therefore thought it timely to pray in a special way for Christian Unity in a Novena.  As Bl. Gabriella dedicated her life for the intention of Christian Unity, it seemed particularly special to pray through her intercession.

A Rosary will be prayed each day of the novena before a first class relic of Bl. Gabriella for the intention above and for those individuals joining us in this novena.

Bl. Gabriella was born in 1914 and died at the age of 25 in 1939.  She was beatified on January 25, 1983 by Pope John Paul II.

Make a Consecration to Jesus through Mary January 9 through February 11, 2022

Please consider making a 33 Day Consecration Journey. It is a perfect way to start the New Year. The Consecration ends on the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes: February 11. We recommend using the book Child Consecration: To Jesus through Mary—Following in the Spirit of St. Thérèse, the Little Flower.  The book approaches Consecration through a lens of spirituality identified by St. Thérèse which helps a soul grow in the beautiful virtues of simplicity, confidence, and trust. It is ideal for adults, priests and young people. Bishop Keenan of Paisley, Scotland used the book during the same time last year to guide his own Consecration as well as his diocese. It was a grace filled journey. We have the recordings from each day of the Consecration which can be used to guide one's journey. They can be watched HERE.

Below are some comments that were made during the Consecration evenings Bishop Keenan has led:

* I am surprised I haven't missed a single day. Normally, I am not able to do such things. I don't think I have finished a single Novena in my life. What a blessing.
* Such a lovely reading. Gives so much hope. Thank you Bishop John.
* 17 days of pure joy wonderful to be with you all. Good night and God bless Bishop John and all
* Thank you bishop John. The consecration became a focus point of our family of 6. God Bless you
* Truly wonderful and calming
* Thank you Bishop John. Just love getting to know Our Lady more in this consecration.
* Thank you so much Bishop John its been a long time since I have felt so peaceful and loved before going to sleep
* Lovely to be with you in prayer tonight. Excited for tonight’s gardening. Love from Bridget, 12 years old.
* Thank you so much Bishop for leading us in this most beautiful Consecration
* Thank you bishop for this brilliant service. There are so many of us joined in prayer and it so comforting. A big family united in prayer.
* Thank you very much Bishop John. God Bless and protect you always. It's a been a quick 27 nights. Too quick!
* Really going to miss all this

If you missed starting on January 9th. Do not worry just start on the journey and adjust your end date. More information about this book can be found at www.childconsecration.com

Epiphany 2022

Today in the Archdiocese of Hartford, we celebrated the Feast of Epiphany. In anticipation of the Feast my mother gave us a special gift. She long has had a star which she has displayed at her farm. In the past she tied it to a tree and hoped one day to build a Nativity scene to display under it. On New Year's eve she had a surprise. She gifted us the star. We put the star over our nativity inside. It was magnificent and cast a beautiful light on the Holy Family.

Today on the Feast of the Epiphany we moved the star outside so many could see it. Interesting as the kids and I walked to Mass we could hear the Church bells chiming to the song "Star of Wonder". The same song was sung at Mass and then tonight Bishop Keenan led his nightly Rosary and concluded with the same song. It is beautiful how Divine Providence can see to bring a star to the crib of Jesus on the beautiful Feast of the Epiphany!
