The Month of September is Dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows

The Church has chosen the month of September to honor the sorrows of Mary as the The Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows falls in the Middle of the Month: Septemer 15th. The day before Our Lady's Feast, September 14, we celebrate the Triumph of the Cross. The Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows reminds us that the Triumph Jesus achieved on the Cross came with heartache and suffering.

September  12th         Most Holy Name of Mary
September 14th          Triumph of the Cross
September 15th          Our Lady of Sorrows
September 27th          St. Vincent de Paul

Intentions of the Holy Father for the Month of September 2012:

General Intention: That politicians may always act with honesty, integrity, and love for the truth.

Missionary Intention: Help for the Poorest Churches. That Christian communities may have a growing willingness to send missionaries, priests, and lay people, along with concrete resources, to the poorest Churches.
