Special Prayer Service for the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary

Tomorrow we will be having a special prayer service in honor of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary.

At 1PM EST The Knights of Columbus will lead a procession of children to crown Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary.  This will be followed by a Rosary led by the children's rosary of West Hartford CT.  Simultaneously on the other side of the country a new children's rosary group will meet at 10 AM PST for the first time to pray before Our Lady.  When one takes into account the three hour time difference between CT USA and WA USA we realized that both groups of children will be praying at the very same time.  This was not intentional but a beautiful gift from Our Lady.

Following the litany to the Blessed Virgin Mary and consecration prayers to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Linda Santo will give a talk.  Her daughter, Little Audrey Santo is being considered for beatification.  Little Audrey had an accident at the age of 3 and was left unable to care for herself or get out of a bed.  Her mother cared for her for 20 years until her death in 2007.  The Vatican approached the family shortly after little Audrey's death and asked the family to put forth her cause for beatification and canonization.

We are so grateful to Our Lady for bringing Linda Santo to our Parish on such a wonderful Feast.  Her daughter many believe may be the next pro-life saint of our time.

Today at Mass the Gospels continued to emphasize the importance of being childlike.

In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, "I thank thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to babes; yea, Father, for such was thy gracious will.(Luke 10:21)

With the repeated call from the Gospels this week to be like a child I am not surprised that on Our Lady's Feast she chose to have children lead a rosary knelt before her and to hear a witness talk of how the weakest of children was able to turn hearts and bring many to the arms of Our Lord.

May we all embrace our simplicity and child-like Spirit and follow Our Dear Blessed Mother safely to Eternal Life with her Son. Amen

Those of you unable to join us tomorrow for this special event in Honor of Our Lady.  Please consider joining us in prayer from your homes.  We will begin the rosary shortly after 1PM EST.  We will pray for all members of the children's rosary and their intentions and those joining us in prayer from a distance.
