A Journey to Bring the Baby Jesus to the Children

On the evening of the Feast of the Holy Family, Tran set out on bicycle to bring the baby Jesus to the children in Suoi Sao orphanage. The distance was far but he wanted to bring the Baby Jesus to them. He knew they would be gathering soon for their Children's Rosary at 7PM local time as they do each evening.
It was already dark and much of the road was rough and bumpy.  The children did not know Tran was coming. But they had many lights set up to decorate their orphanage for Christmas.  To their surprise Tran arrived with the baby Jesus.

The Baby had made the trip safely placed in hay in a basket.  Quickly candles were set up to lead to the place where they laid Him.
The children took turns coming to tuck their intentions on slips of paper under the Baby Jesus.
They knelt in prayer of the Rosary as they do each night in their Children's Rosary prayer group. Though tonight was special. They were all gathered around Our Lord. There was a special icon of the Holy Family near them.  In the dark they prayed. The children brought roses to place before the Baby Jesus.
Then each received several prayer cards as gifts. These had been sent in the box carrying the Baby Jesus. None knew that Our Lord had arrived with considerable damage.  All had been healed and put back together. Tran's grandmother was very kind to take a piece of cloth and sew a little outfit for the Baby Jesus that concealed all the cracks from when he lay in pieces.  Indeed to the children He was perfect. They took turns kissing him as he lay on his bed of hay.
Some of the girls scooped him up and held Him...smiling as you see this little one doing.
What joy must be in the heart of Our Lord to see such innocent little children tenderly caring for him. Treasuring the special time on the beautiful Feast of the Holy Family.  These children have no parents they are orphans.  Tran shares that for these children Our Blessed Mother is the mother they do not have now. So for them She is so very important to them. Their love is growing always stronger as they continue to pray.  Tran wishes the children could have parents here but through prayer they find love.

We are excited to share that there is a new Children's Rosary group in India. The new group is located in Shillong, India. This is a town close to the border with Bangladesh. They will hold their weekly meetings at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

The new group has chosen to travel to the Shrine of John Bosco in Sohra, India to hold their first meeting on December 31st 2016. Several pictures of the Shrine are included along with a picture of a relic of St. John Bosco that is present in the Shrine.

The group leader shares:

Our First Rosary Prayer Meeting will be tomorrow at the Shrine of St. John Bosco, Sohra. There will be an Adoration and Holy Mass. We will offer and pray for the intentions of the Children's Rosary and all its Members around the globe...
Thank You...GOD BLESS+

The new group will begin meeting at 10:30 AM local time. Please consider joining the children in prayer. The children always pray for those unifying prayers with them.  The meeting time is listed in your local time zone on our site www.childrensrosary.org  You can also see our View From Heaven Map. Spiritual Bouquet

Dear Friends,

I am happy to share a very beautiful gift that was given to the Children's Rosary for Christmas. One of the members of the Children's Rosary enrolled the Children's Rosary to receive a Spiritual Bouquet. The message in the card reads:

As my very special and spiritual gift to you this Christmas you will share in the blessings and graces of 900 Masses offered by missionary priests throughout the world beginning on Christmas Even and continuing throughout this Holy Season.

This enrollment was made through the Capuchin Missions.  It is also very special that the gift of this Spiritual Bouquet also is able to assist in the support of missionary priests bringing the Good News to different corners of the globe.

Many thanks for this most precious gift.

Feast of the Holy Innocents

Today on the Feast of the Holy Innocents we received word that the Statue of Baby Jesus we sent to the children in Vietnam arrived. The statue of Our Lord did not fair so well. It appeared that the statue sustained considerable damage. It is unclear if individuals may have wondered if there were items inside the statue. Some other small items were missing from the box as well.

But it seemed beautifully symbolic on the Feast of the Holy Innocents when we remember efforts to destroy the Baby Jesus, that today children would come to Our Lord's aid. Tran wrote as he shared news of the injury to the statue of the Baby Jesus, "I will heal the statue". Indeed it seems with the hands of children much that is broken can be healed. One can imagine that the prayers and efforts of the children heal many wounds that hurt the heart of Our Lord. Their tender care and love the salve for so many pains.

One can see the care which was taken to carefully heal Our Lord. Not only was He put back together but a rose was placed over His Heart.

Come on a Journey with Us

Looking at this ally way in Pakistan one can image the Holy Family walking with their donkey...knocking on doors. This is the scene tonight on Christmas eve in Pakistan.  Let us go village to village and see the little towns. Where are the children?  You will see....

They are kneeling at cribs celebrating the birth of Our Lord. They have been waiting patiently in prayer for weeks and now they can meet Our Lord.

They can celebrate Christmas! Different Children's Rosary groups each make it special in their own way.

There is dancing and many from the town gathering to celebrate with the children. They place large pieces of ornate fabric to create a roof in their Church that does not have one. The people here understand the desire to have a roof over ones head just as the Holy Family was trying to find a place to rest on Christmas eve.
The journey continues into the late night.  More roads to cover to see more children. Our last stop tonight is Ashraf town. It seems the little angels are gathering together. See the little girl on the right with her angel wings.
We will be sharing more pictures in the coming days.

Thank you all!

May We Be a Joy for God?
What Does the Nativity Mean to You?

What are you waiting for?

This Advent members of the Children's Rosary from around the world have been drawing attention to the meaning of the season by putting signs up reading: Patiently Waiting.

We have been asked by curious people who see the sign, "What are you waiting for?"  The answer comes tonight on Christmas eve.  The patiently waiting signs will come down and new signs will go up that read:

Christ is Born

We will be keeping these "Christ is Born" signs in our windows throughout the Christmas season which begins on December 25th.  It has been beautiful to see the different signs children have made throughout Advent reading "patiently waiting". One of the boys clearly spent a long time on his sign (see the picture to the right).  Such effort surely will bring a smile to Our Lord.

Tonight don't forget to take your signs down and have the new ones ready.

Thank you all and may you have a blessed Christmas.

A Countryside being Transformed through Prayer

Children in villages in Pakistan continue to meet in their Children's Rosary prayer groups this week. This is something they do each week. Some of the groups meeting twice a week.

Despite the cold of winter they come together faithfully in prayer. Last winter we received pictures of the children helping to clean the churches in these towns and restore them.

In rural villages in Pakistan a priest may only come once a year to hold a Mass. With Masses held so infrequently, the Churches fell out of use and many needed cleaning and repair. Other villages had no churches.  Yet as the children have been meeting in their Children's Rosary prayer groups, they began using these churches regularly so cleaning was needed.  As some new groups had no churches in their villages construction began to build churches. Earlier this week we shared pictures of the children setting up Nativity scenes in their villages that they might be able to come and pray.  Today we have pictures of Stars that have been illuminated over homes and churches representing how the star of Bethlehem came to rest over the place where the Savior was born.

No one can mistake that these villages seemed changed. But why and how did they change? One can follow how it happened. It happened in a simple and peaceful way. Little children came together to form Children's Rosary prayer groups to pray the Rosary regularly.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if children got on their kneels and prayed the Rosary together regularly? Look at these pictures and you can see. It is beautiful.

The Children in the Philippines Receive Rosaries in Time for Christmas

Several weeks ago we shared in the Children's Rosary newsletter a Christmas wish of the Children's Rosary group in Malaybalay Parish Cathedral in the Philippines. The group had grown and many of the children were without rosaries. Additional groups were starting in Malaybalay City and there were not enough rosaries.

We have beautiful news to report. The Children's Rosary group in Imus, Philippines sent the children in Malaybalay 200 rosaries. These arrived last week. This was enough for all the children to receive a Rosary.

The picture above are the children receiving their Rosaries last week and bringing them to Our Lady before they started to pray.

In a special way we thank the Children's Rosary group in Bahay Kalinga (House for Street Children of Imus) for their generosity.

Mass to be Offered in Vietnam for Members of the Children's Rosary

The Children's Rosary groups in Bien Hoa City, Vietnam have arranged a Mass to be said for all the members of the Children's Rosary. The Mass will be celebrated at the Chapel of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Bien Hoa City, Vietnam.
The Chapel is in the rear of Sacred Heart Hospital. The Hospital and the Chapel are run by Monks in an order named after St. John of God. Many of them are doctors who care for the sick of the hospital.
The Mass that will be celebrated on Monday December 19th at 7PM local time (7AM ET). This Mass at 7 o'clock is attended by many of the patients of the Hospital. One can imagine their prayers are very strong. We are especially grateful for such a gift. The children who are part of the Children's Rosary in Vietnam not only asked the priests to offer the Mass for the members of the Children's Rosary they had an extra request:

"that God give peace to the Children's Rosary group

It was a Mass that the priest will pray for peace for us

Peace"
Indeed as we approach Christmas is there a more beautiful gift that the children would want to give us then Peace. Our Lord is the Prince of Peace.

Another beautiful thing about the Mass being offered at 7PM local time is that is the time when the two Children's Rosary groups held in orphanages in Bien Hoa City meet to pray.

When the children are meeting in their prayer groups you can see them as blue flashing lights on our new View from Heaven Map. Please consider joining them in prayer. The children are asked to pray for those unifying prayers with them. You can even hit the "join in prayer" button under the View from Heaven map and add a gold light to the map.

We thank the children who are a part of the Children's Rosary in Bien Hoa City, Vietnam for their precious gift to all the members of the Children's Rosary.

Have You Ever Seen a Nativity in Pakistan? The Children Share Theirs with You.

There have been so many beautiful pictures coming from the different Children's Rosary groups throughout small villages in Pakistan. We were surprised this week to see the children had built little Nativity scenes in their villages.
Each one was remarkably different.

The children want to make it a very special Christmas. They have such beautiful creativity in what they do using their local fruit trees to create a scene that is probably very authentic to the real manger scene.

The children take such care in what they do...trying to make a special place for the Baby Jesus. In this way, also they can have a special place to come and pray in preparation for Christmas.  This week there will be more pictures to share.

I see these pictures as the fruits of the Rosary. This is what prayer will do in the hearts of children.  They will prepare a place for Our Lord both in their villages but also in their hearts.

Many of these Children's Rosary groups in Pakistan will have meetings over the next 24 hours. See the Children's Rosary website for a schedule so you can unify prayers with them. The children have been asked to pray for all those unifying prayers with them.  While a group is meeting you will see a blue light flashing on our View from Heaven map. The first of the groups meeting will begin tonight at 8PM ET. You can hit the "join in prayer" button and also become a gold light on the map.

Join the Children Praying in Alaska Today

The Children's Rosary at Immaculate Conception Church in Fairbanks, Alaska will hold their Children's Rosary today at 3:30 PM ET.  The Church and town look a little different this time of year then the picture above. They are almost entirely in darkness now.  Snow can be seen in all directions.  There is an Arctic Cam that faces the Church so you can see what it looks like LIVE. You will be able to see a light flashing on our View from Heaven Map at 3:30 PM ET. You will need to drag the map just a bit to the right to bring Alaska into view.  If you click the button "Join in Prayer" you can become a gold light on the map.

The children meeting in Alaska today have been asked to pray for those unifying prayers with them. Imagine the little children in Fairbanks, Alaska (a town very close to North Pole Alaska) will be praying for you. You may notice that when you click the join in prayer button you may not show up as a light exactly where you are located. Sometimes if you are using a phone to view the site it will base your location on the server.  However, your exact location is not important what is important is that we are praying and unifying ourselves together.

Join Us for the Christmas / Infant of Prague Novena

Christmas Novena
Prayer to the Miraculous Infant of Prague

In anticipation of Christmas December 25th consider saying this 9 day Novena from December 16th-December 24th.

O Divine Infant Jesus, Who said: "Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you." Through the intercession of Mary, Your Most Holy Mother, I knock, I seek, I ask that my prayer be granted.

(Make your request.)

O Divine Infant Jesus, Who said: "Unless you become like little children, you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven." Grant me the simplicity and wonder, the tenderness and gentleness of a child. Fill me with innocence, hope and love. Grant me the grace that I need.

(Make your request.)

O Divine Infant Jesus, help me know how close You are to me and how powerful is Your embrace. Help me to trust that You hold the whole world in Your hand. I place my every need and care in Your hands. I ask that you fulfill my request according to Your holy will.

(Make your request.)

Miraculous Infant of Prague, have mercy on us.
We humbly ask that you join us in praying this novena and include as one of your intentions: May Our Lady's plans for each of us, our families, and the Children's Rosary be realizedIn a special way we also ask that Jesus be born in our hearts this Christmas. May Our Lord grant Christmas joy and peace for all the families of the Children's Rosary and all those who have been so generous to the Children's Rosary this year.
A special gift to all the members of the Children's Rosary: a Mass will be celebrated for all the members of the Children's Rosary and all who help the Children's Rosary on December 25th through the Capuchin Missions.

Patiently Waiting in Pakistan

We would love to share with you the pictures that have been sent from our Children's Rosary groups in many villages in Pakistan. They wanted to join the Children's Rosary "Patiently Waiting" Campaign. They have been putting us signs in their windows showing where their hearts are this season. Today at Mass the priest reminded us of one of the messages of this season. He said work on your patience.  I thought how special he should mention patience as the pictures of the children from Pakistan had just arrived.

This past Sunday the reading also echoed this message:
"Be patient, brothers and sisters, until the coming of the Lord. (James 5:7)
Please join the children by putting a sign in your window that says "Patiently Waiting". If you would like to take a picture and send it to us at blythe@childrensrosary.org we will try to feature pictures here.
This is the third year of our Children's Rosary "Patiently Waiting Campaign".
On Christmas day the signs come down and are replaced with ones that say: Christ is Born.  If you would like to learn more about the Patiently Waiting Campaign click HERE.

Children's Rosary of Imus, Philippines

We recently received pictures from the Children's Rosary in Imus, Philippines. This group is located at the Bahay Kalinga (House for Street Children of Imus).
They held a Christmas celebration at their December 2, 2016 meeting. After the children prayed the Rosary they had a little surprise. Members of the Divine Will Cenacle Group helped sponsor little gifts for the children. We thank all those who helped to make this such a special day for the children.
