Today is the last day of the Christmas Season. These pictures were taken by Alina age 14 who is a member of the Children's Rosary just before we held a Children's Rosary yesterday at St. Peter Claver Church in West Hartford Connecticut USA. In a special way we prayed for you all. Although we are moving out of the season of Christmas and into ordinary time there is much to be joyful about. Our Lord granted us many gifts this year. Indeed when it was our turn to bring Him gifts in turn He gave us a great deal more. One of the beautiful things He gave the Children's Rosary this year is an invitation to learn more about His infancy. Many saints such as St. Therese of the Child Jesus, St. Francis of Assisi, St Anthony of Padua and St. Theresa Avila had devotions to the Divine Child. In a special way in the coming weeks please look forward to an exploration of Jesus the Child. This aspect of Our Lord is particularly special for the Children's Rosary which is composed of children both big and small.
The Children's Rosary® is a prayer group movement that was begun out of love for Our Lady and Her Son. Jesus tells us "Truly, I say to you unless you turn and become like children you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 18:3). The Children's Rosary is an effort to begin in parishes rosary prayer groups composed of children and led by children. Through prayer of the Rosary Our Lady will guide our young people while at the same time sanctify families and Parishes.
