Join Us for the 23rd International Week of Prayer and Fasting

Children's Rosary held at the 21st International Week and of Prayer
and Fasting Vigil at the National Shrine  of the Immaculate Conception in DC 2013
Consider joining us in this years 23rd International Week of Prayer and Fasting.  This week of prayer and fasting for Peace, the Protection of life and the conversion of Nations has received support and blessings from such individuals as St. John Paul II, Mother Teresa of Calcutta and Pope Francis.

The Children's Rosary has participated for the past two years.  Beginning in 2013 with a group of children traveling by bus to the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC to lead a Children's Rosary at the kick off vigil.  We have continued our involvement by participating each year in the prayers and fasting.

Today begins the week of prayer and fasting which will extend from October 16th -24th. We hope many of the members of the Children's Rosary will consider being a part of this.

We would like tto humbly ask you to include two additonal intentions for your week of prayer and fasting:

May Our Lady's plan for you, your family, the Children's Rosary and how the Children's Rosary affects the world be realized.
May the Children's Rosary, their families, those assoicated with the Children's Rosary including our priests and Bishops and Our Holy Father the Pope be the extended hands of Our Blessed Mother and Her Son.  May we gather a great many souls expecially young people for the Lord.

While many will be fasting on bread and water individuals especially children may consider smaller renunciations that are age appropriate such as sweets or other little sacrifices.

New Children's Rosary in Bluffton, South Carolina USA

A new Children's Rosary met for the first time today at St. Gregory the Great School in Bluffton, South Carolina USA.  It was begun by a grandmother. Thirteen children attended the first meeting which was held immediately after school at 3PM ET.  At the first meeting the group was Consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary.  In this way the group is under the protection and guidance of Christ and his Mother.

A second Children's Rosary group will be forming within the parish on Wednesday evenings.  Their first meeting will be held on October 21st.  In this way the children of the parish not attending the school will also be able to have a prayer group.

As the month of October is dedicated to the Rosary it is very special to have these new groups forming sprinkled around the world.  They are like twinkling lights shining up to heaven.  It is a beautiful thought to imagine the prayers of these little ones rising to the throne of God.

A special thank you to all the members of the Children's Rosary.  These new little groups are the fruits of so many prayers.  Thank you all.

Children's Rosary DVD Release!

We are very excited to share that the Children's Rosary DVD, Mysteries of the Rosary, is now available to order through EWTN. Many have asked when this DVD would be completed.  After a year and a half of filming and production we received word that the DVDs were completed on October 7th, the Feast of the Holy Rosary, and were being shipped out.  We did not plan this completion date but celebrate the significance.  Today the DVDs are now available to order from EWTN Religious Catalogue.

This project was done out of love for Our Lord and Our Blessed Mother.  It represents the prayers of a great many children and members of the Children's Rosary.  Our Lord put together a talented group of individuals who helped film this video. The Mysteries of the Rosary was filmed by Jim Morlino of Navis Pictures (War of the Vendee and Bernedette of Lourdes) and is currently part of the monthly programming for EWTN.

The Children's Rosary offers a simple and deeply moving experience of prayer. With the innocent voices of the children, one can pray all four mysteries: Joyful, Sorrowful, Luminous and Glorious.  The Rosary is led by members of the Children's Rosary prayer group movement.  Both young and old will find this a favorite way to pray the Rosary. Special highlights include the Children's Rosary theme song,
Rosary Children, featuring little ones from around the world in their Children's Rosary prayer groups.  This video provides a glimpse into a Children's Rosary prayer group and a window into the hope and joy which represents our future.

Bonus Features include instructional videos with step by step explanations of
How to Start a Children's Rosary prayer group and demonstrations on How to Run Your First Children's Rosary Group Meeting.  Frequently asked Questions are also answered by Blythe Kaufman, founder of the Children's Rosary.

Complete collection of Children's Rosary materials can now be ordered through EWTN by clicking HERE

Voices of the Children to Fill the Airwaves

We recently received word from Holy Spirit Radio in Philadelphia, PA that they would be airing the Children's Rosary during their Holy Hour Tomorrow(October 13th) between 3-4PM ET.

They also shared that our theme song "Rosary Children" sung by members of the Children's Rosary, will be played on the show "Songs of the Spirit" which will air on October 13th at 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM ET.

To listen LIVE Streaming on Holy Spirit Radio click HERE

The Children's Rosary also airs daily on Eternal Life Radio 89.3 FM in Shirley, Massachusetts at 5:00PM ET.  To listen LIVE streaming click HERE.

It is so beautiful that the voices of children will be heard through the airwaves in prayer and song.  In a special way children have a unique way of touching hearts.  We see the gift of such opportunities for the children to praise Our Lord on the radio as a fruit of their prayers in the prayer groups.  In this way we thank all the children that meet around the world in Children's Rosary prayer groups.

Mass of Thanksgiving

Children's Rosary held at Sacred Heart Church on October 7th 2015
A Mass of thanksgiving was offered on October 7th through the Capuchin Missions.  In a special way on the beautiful Feast of the Holy Rosary, we wanted to thank God and Our Blessed Mother for the tremendous graces that have been given to the Children's Rosary and our members.

Each year on the Feast of the Holy Rosary it seems that there are always beautiful gifts given to the Children's Rosary.  Often these gifts are a surprise. This year was no exception.

Several months ago I received word from a member of our Children's Rosary that a chance visit to a church in Connecticut USA had yielded some unexpected blessings.  The member who was visiting CT from Florida was looking for a Mass on a Sunday evening and found Sacred Heart in East Berlin, CT had such a Mass.  After Mass, she picked up a bulletin and noticed an announcement about a Children's Rosary group meeting.  This got her attention.  Then in talking to the pastor a wonderful opportunity seemed to unfold which included arranging for the traveling United Nations Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima to come to the parish.  The pastor suggested the visit be held on October 7th and also recommended that the Children's Rosary hold a Rosary before Our Blessed Mother when she was visiting.  Indeed all were astonished how all the pieces seemed to fall into place for the event.  Not only was the United Nations Pilgrim Statue of Our  Lady of Fatima coming but also first class relics of Bl Francisco and Bl Jacinta, two of the children from Fatima.

The Event unfolded beautifully.  Members of four Children's Rosary groups were able to attend.  The children gathered kneeling before Our Blessed mother and placed roses at her feet at the conclusion of each decade.  In total 13 children were present for the evening. At the conclusion of the Children's Rosary the children sang our theme song Rosary Children.  We had an extra special gift as Jeff Batter was present who helped in recording this song.  He both played the piano and accompanied the children as they sang.

The evening was concluded with Benediction and then veneration of the relics.  It was a very special evening.  Upon returning home there was an email waiting.  More good news.  The Children's Rosary DVDs were finally completed and being shipped out to EWTN Religious Catalogue.  Several unexpected delays had resulted in a most glorious completion date of October 7th: the Feast of the Holy Rosary.  While the DVDs are still in transit to EWTN we hope to notify you all very soon as to the release date of these DVDs.

Indeed there is so much to be grateful for and the Mass in thanksgiving was a small gift back to God and Our Blessed Mother on behalf of the Children's Rosary.
