Yesterday Archbishop Leonard Blair was installed as the New Archbishop of Hartford. As Hartford is the home of the Children's Rosary we wanted to in a special way welcome Archbishop Blair. We feel particularly blessed and grateful to Archbishop Mansell who is retiring for his holy guidance and support of our Archdiocese and the Children's Rosary.
With Pope Francis' appointment of our new Archbishop we were so excited to read in a local Toledo newspaper that “Bishop Blair closed his formal remarks by saying he entrusts both his ministry as a bishop and the Archdiocese “to the care and intercession of Mary, the Mother of God.” And he asked for prayers, “especially by means of the rosary.”
We would like to thank Archbishop Blair for putting this Archdiocese under the protection of Our Lady. We would also like to let him know that all of the Children's Rosary groups are praying for him at their meetings.
The Children's Rosary® is a prayer group movement that was begun out of love for Our Lady and Her Son. Jesus tells us "Truly, I say to you unless you turn and become like children you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 18:3). The Children's Rosary is an effort to begin in parishes rosary prayer groups composed of children and led by children. Through prayer of the Rosary Our Lady will guide our young people while at the same time sanctify families and Parishes.
