As many of you may know Little Audrey Santo currently being considered for Beatification and Canonization is very special to the Children's Rosary. Her mother came to St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Connecticut and spoke about her daughter's life on the Memorial of the Holy Rosary on Oct 7th 2012. During that visit we held a Children's Rosary and prayed in a special way for her beatification and also that she might intercede for the Children's Rosary. That date marked a beautiful opening of a door for the Children's Roary. On that day our Children's Rosary went from a prayer group in one parish and transformed it into a prayer movement. At the exact moment one Rosary was being said in Connecticut by the Children's Rosary another Rosary was being prayed by a new Children's Rosary group on the other side of the United States in a Parish named after St. Francis on a small Island which is part of Washington State. In the weeks and months that followed many more Children's Rosary groups would form and today we have close to 40 groups on 4 continents and many more forming.
As Dec 19th is the Birthday of Audrey Santo her foundation has planned a wonderful day of prayer.
There will be Mass, Adoration, Rosary and many more wonderful prayerful events throughout the day at the little Audrey Chapel in Worcester MA. More information about the wonderful day and Audrey's life can be found on their foundation website
Thank you all!
The Children's Rosary® is a prayer group movement that was begun out of love for Our Lady and Her Son. Jesus tells us "Truly, I say to you unless you turn and become like children you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 18:3). The Children's Rosary is an effort to begin in parishes rosary prayer groups composed of children and led by children. Through prayer of the Rosary Our Lady will guide our young people while at the same time sanctify families and Parishes.
