Rainbow at the Papal Mass

Saturday Pope Francis Arrived in Philadelphia USA.  His first stop was the Cathedral Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul.  The children and I did not have tickets for this event but we ventured out early making our way closer and closer to the Basilica.  Passing through Security just as the Mass started we found ourselves right next the Basilica.  The Holy Father was inside and we could see and hear everything from the Jumbotrons. Even though we were outside there was a feeling we were connected in a special way to Our Holy Father and those praying inside. Throughout the Mass I kept recommending all the members of the Children's Rosary to Our Lord.  Just after the readings several people in front of me pointed to the sky.  We looked up to see a beautiful rainbow over us.  What a beautiful surprise!!! This lasted abut 5 minutes.  Our Holy Father's homily was so beautiful continuing to repeat the call to all of us "What about you?".  Asking us as laity what role we will play. As the children and I periodically would look toward the heavens we could see rainbows coming and going throughout the Mass.  At communion a large rainbow extended across the sky. Indeed it felt like all heaven was peering down on this little place.

We are beginning our trip home this morning and look forward to adding more pictures and sharing more of the experiences here.  Please know you all have been very close to us throughout this trip.  Many seeds for new Children's Rosary have been sown during this trip in the hearts of those visiting here from distant corners of the world.  Please pray for them.

Thank you all and God Bless.
