Wish List

Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; yea, wait for the LORD! (Psalm 27:14)
The Lord has put courage in my heart this morning.  My body wants to be small and quiet but the call to reach out to you all is far stronger. As we enter Holy week and pray at the foot of the Cross may I humbly suggest one more thing you can bring before the Lord.
The Children’s Rosary will be celebrating our one year anniversary on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 15th.  We will be dedicating this upcoming year to renewal of family prayer.
As we all know we live in a tired world.  Our young our tired.  Our Church is tired.  Our families are tired and broken. Yet, we are the lungs of the Church and if we are weak then our Church will be weak.  But if we are strong then our Church will be strong.  We cannot have a living church without a living family.  Each family needs to be a chapel where we pray.  Each family needs to be a prayer group in front of the Cross.
To begin to heal our families and renew family prayer and the reading of scripture the children’s rosary will be giving out 94 read aloud children’s Bibles and hand made bookmarks.  As some members of the Children’s Rosary are single or leading a consecrated life we have chosen to also give out bookmarks to use during Bible readings. To help each family a Saint has been asked to choose a family to lead in their spiritual journey.  These Saints have been asked through an individual nine day novena.  The exact intention which has been prayed to each Saint is included below.  All of the saints will be randomly assigned to bookmark or Bible.  Beginning on Divine Mercy Sunday these Bibles will be given out at our Rosary in the morning and again in the afternoon at the celebration of Divine Mercy at St. Thomas Apostle Church West Hartford CT, USA.  For those of you who cannot attend a bookmark can be chosen for you and mailed to you. The last day we can begin novenas to Saints to have them completed by Divine Mercy Sunday is April 6th (Good Friday).  We will continue to invite Saints after that date but these saints will not be on a Bible or bookmark on Divine Mercy Sunday.
As we prepare for our anniversary there is a prayer that goes out that a great many people will come and ask for a Bible or bookmark.  If this prayer is answered then we hope to have one to give them.  As the children have made a great many bookmarks and we have many Bibles the limiting factor is the novenas to the Saints.  Over 30 people are saying novenas. The more that join the more powerful this momentum of change becomes.  A great wind of change driven by the Holy Spirit.  To date we have novenas being said from coast to coast in the United States.  One hundred and thirty-six are underway. It is my prayer this Holy Week that more people will want to give of themselves for Jesus and our future.  May those of you following in other countries join us.  Listed below are 33 more saints yet to be invited to join our children’s rosary and pray for us.  In honor of Jesus’ 33 years on this earth let us choose a saint and join our hearts in prayer for a new springtime for our families and our tired world.  If you would like to choose a saint please let me know by email blythe.kaufman@gmail.com or comment to this posting below.  As people choose saints I will change them to a black color.  Saints in blue have not been chosen.  Please say the prayer below to the saint/ saints you choose. If you have a novena prayer you want to say in addition this is fine.  If you do not have a novena prayer then say a Hail Mary, Our Father and Glory Be with the petition below for nine days.
MAY THE CHILDREN’S ROSARY, THEIR FAMILIES, THOSE ASSOCIATED WITH THE CHILDREN’S ROSARY INCLUDING OUR PRIESTS, OUR BISHOP AND OUR HOLY FATHER THE POPE BE THE EXTENDED HANDS OF OUR BLESSED MOTHER AND HER SON.  MAY WE GATHER A GREAT MANY SOULS ESPECIALLY YOUNG PEOPLE FOR THE LORD.  MAY WE EXPERIENCE RENEWAL OF FAMILY PRAYER AND SPREAD IT ACROSS THE GLOBE. IN A SPECIAL WAY WE ASK EACH SAINT TO CHOOSE AN INDIVIDUAL, FAMILY OR A PRIEST, ASSOCIATED WITH OUR CHILDREN’S ROSARY GROUP TO LEAD IN THEIR SPIRITUAL JOURNEY. DEAR SAINT PRAY FOR OUR EXTENDED GROUP THAT WE MAY EMBODY THE VIRTUES YOU EXEMPLIFIED HERE ON EARTH.

To become a member of the children's rosary one only has to tell the Lord in their heart of their desire to be a part of our group.  You will then be included in all the novenas being said and all of the rosaries being prayed daily.

Daily rosaries are said for the same intention.  One novena is underway to the Holy Spirit and 2 to our Blessed Mother for the same intention.  With all of these prayers lifting us up we can can act with more confidence that our hands will fall where the Lord desires them to be.  As we pray beneath the cross this week may the Lord grant our petition and shower blessings upon all of us and those dear to us.  Amen
