Children's Rosary at St. Marguerite Parish |
St. Marguerite had a love of children and was committed to helping educate them. She had a special love of the poor.
It was on the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, October 7th, while looking at a Statue of Our Our Blessed Mother that she felt moved to pursue a vocation to religious life. She would later found a religious order called the the Congregation de Notre-Dame. Sr. Marguerite Bourgeoys died in Montreal on January 12th 1700 AD. Her Feast day is January 12th. She was canonized by St. Pope John Paul II on October 31st 1982.
"Our Lady's love is like a stream that has its source in the Eternal Fountains, quenches the thirst of all, call never be drained, and ever flows back to its Source." (St. Marguerite Bourgeoys)
The Children's Rosary has a group at St. Marguerite Parish in Brookfield, Connecticut USA. Interestingly a mother and young daughter run this group. The daughter helped with the recording of the sung Ave Ave Ave Maria which is heard between decades in our recorded Children's Rosary. She also helped in recording our theme song Rosary Children.
It seemed a very special gift to this Children's Rosary group at St. Marguerite Parish to receive word that the Children's Rosary would receive an extra airing in special honor of the Feast of St. Marguerite. This child who has helped to run this Children's Rosary for the past 2 years would have her voice covering the city of Philadelphia and other regions of Pennsylvania honoring Our Lady with the simple phrase Ave Ave Ave Maria. This little family has had to bear a great deal of physical suffering over the past several years due to illness so this gift from Our Lord seems extra sweet.
For those who would like to pray along with the children, the airing will occur during the 3PM EST hour directly after the Divine Mercy Chaplet. One can listen LIVE streaming HERE. Holy Spirit Radio will also have their normal monthly airing the Children's Rosary on January 13th during the 3PM hour.
