We would like to share some pictures from the Crowning of Mary that was held at St. Peter Claver Church in West Hartford, Connecticut USA on Saturday May 12th. It was a small meeting with just three children present. We were excited to find some exquisite flowers around the altar. There were fragrant lilies and also peonies. We arranged these to surround Our Lady during the Children's Rosary. The song Hail Holy Queen was played from our Glorious Mysteries CD to begin the meeting. We had brought Our Lady roses and a fresh crown made out of babies breath and tiny pink roses. Asher crowned Mary and then we followed with praying the Rosary. We had a special grace that day. The children were able to pray with a first class relic of St. Stanislaus Papczynski that had recently been sent from Vietnam. We prayed for all the members of the Children's Rosary and all who were unifying prayers with us.
The following day we had our May meeting at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. In a similar way, we began with a crowning. We had a new child join us for the Rosary this month. Little Casey who was not yet three years old was very eager to help. She crowned Our Lady. As she was so tiny her eyes seemed to meet Our Blessed Mother and with spontaneity she reached out and touched Mary's arm gently. Casey's mother was close at hand to help when needed. Casey will soon have a sibling so we felt that there was another child in the presence of Our Lady who had yet to be born but was still very much present with us. This month we were blessed to have Fr. Richard Okiria join us for the Children's Rosary at St. Thomas. He kindly blessed all the children and families as we began the meeting.
