This past Satruday June 6th a Children's Rosary was held at the Benedictine Monastery of Thien Tam in Kerens, Texas USA. This was part of a four day Eucharistic Conference called: Blessed Sacrament Day. The Conference was held almost exclusively in Vietnamese with several thousand attendees from all around the United States and abroad.
The children came together to hold a Children's Rosary before the Blessed Sacrament. The children knelt and led the Rosary placing roses before Our Blessed Mother at the end of each decade. The devotion of the children and those present praying was noted by many. Seeing the children praying and looking upon the Blessed Mother and Our Lord present in the Blessed Sacrament was a moving thing to see.
This is the first time a Children's Rosary has been held during this annual conference. We are very grateful to all those at the Benedictine Monastery of Thien Tam who helped arrange the Children's Rosary as well as Joan Alix who spoke on our behalf at the meeting as well.
The Children's Rosary® is a prayer group movement that was begun out of love for Our Lady and Her Son. Jesus tells us "Truly, I say to you unless you turn and become like children you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 18:3). The Children's Rosary is an effort to begin in parishes rosary prayer groups composed of children and led by children. Through prayer of the Rosary Our Lady will guide our young people while at the same time sanctify families and Parishes.
