The Children's Rosary® is a prayer group movement that was begun out of love for Our Lady and Her Son. Jesus tells us "Truly, I say to you unless you turn and become like children you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 18:3). The Children's Rosary is an effort to begin in parishes rosary prayer groups composed of children and led by children. Through prayer of the Rosary Our Lady will guide our young people while at the same time sanctify families and Parishes.

Benvenutti a Roma!
These were the welcome greetings we have received since arriving in Rome. Asher and I will be here until June 5 when we will be traveling to Ireland for the All Ireland Rosary Rally.
We are excited to be in the seat of the Catholic Church in these days leading up to Pentecost. Yesterday we attended Mass at St. Peters after leaving the airport and went through the Holy Door open for the Jubilee. I prayed in a special way for the members of the Children's Rosary during Adoration at the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament at St. Peter's Basilica.
Today we met with the EWTN team in Rome and did a segment for their Vaticano show about the Children's Rosary.
The view behind us during the interview was perfect. After the interview we darted into St Anne's Church just in time before our friend Fr. Anthony was leaving the Confessional. He so kindly translated the Children's Rosary book into Arabic.
We have found a lovely farmers market just a block from where we are staying which has been our sustenance. All the yummy vegetables are in season now.

Children's Rosary Holds Marian Procession in Hamburg, Germany
We received a lovely note from the Children's Rosary group leader in Hamburg Germany.
I am sending you some photos of our Procession and Children's Rosary, as a tribute to St. Mary. More than 30 people attended, including babies, young children and adults. At the end of the Rosary we made a consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Then we had lunch and the children painted cloth bags with different Marian designs.
At the end the children received a little surprise, to sow the seed of love for Jesus and Mary in our little ones.

Mass Offered on May 25, 2025 for the Members of the Children's Rosary
A Mass was offered for all the members of the Children's Rosary and all who help the Children's Rosary. The Mass was celebrated in West Hartford, Connecticut USA by a priest in the La Salette order on May 25, 2025, We continue to have a Mass said for this intention on the twenty-fifth of each month. The Eucharist is such a powerful gift from Our Lord that when we wanted to extend thanksgiving to all of you, we knew of no better way to express gratitude. May Our Lord's love be poured down on all of you through the powerful sacrifice of the Holy Mass.

Children's Rosary in Trowbridge, England, Leads Procession and May Crowning
The Children's Rosary group leader from Trowbridge, England, shared the lovely pictures and summary of their May procession and crowning. This Children's Rosary group meets weekly to pray the Rosary at their parish.
On Sunday May 18th thirty-two of us, families and parishioners, gathered outside St John’s Catholic Primary School and prayed the first Glorious Mystery, the Resurrection of Jesus, for the staff, pupils and families of the St John’s Community.
The Oakes family led us in French and we responded in English, praying an Our Father, ten Hails Mary's and a Glory Be. Our Children’s Rosary banner led the procession as we sang Ave Maria and the children scattered rose petals ahead of the statue of Our Lady as we walked and sang.
We prayed our second decade, the Ascension of Jesus into Heaven, on the green by the housing estate and offered our prayers for all the people in our town. This was led by the Nash family.
We prayed our third decade, the Descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, in front of St Augustine’s Catholic College as we asked our Blessed Mother to pray for all of the staff, students and families. The Micenic family led this decade of the rosary in Latin, the universal language of the Church. We then sang “As I kneel before you” as we processed down to the church. It felt really special to take our prayers and hymns out into the community and share our joy with whomever we passed.
The Marra family led our fourth decade, the Assumption of Our Lady into Heaven, outside St John the Baptist church, and we offered this decade for our country and the world. It was wonderful to be joined by parishioners gathering for Mass.
The children then processed so reverently into Mass, offering flowers at Our Lady’s altar. Those parishioners sat inside the church joined us in singing Ave Maria. We knelt in front of the altar and placed Our Lady close to the Tabernacle.
The Briddon family led our final decade, Our Lady is Crowned Queen of Heaven, in Polish. We offered this decade for our parish family. The children led us in singing the Salve Regina (Hail Holy Queen—a prayer that concludes the rosary). I felt very emotional at this beautiful moment of prayer. The children gave an amazing witness to the parish of their faith and joy in honouring Our Holy Mother in Heaven and we felt enormous support from our parish community. The children were a credit to themselves and their families.
At the end of mass Father Richard offered prayers and incense to Our Lady and invited Angela, one of our youngest members, to place a crown of flowers on Our Lady.
After Mass the children enjoyed chocolate treats and special Our Lady lollipops, provided by the Turner family.

The story featured how the Children's Rosary is helping to create leaders in faith through the Rosary and how in multiple countries members of the Children's Rosary are leading thousands of individuals in prayer. Highlights include many touching quotes from children and parents. A must read. Click HERE to read the whole article.

64,451 Handmade Rosaries Leave for Uganda
On May 16, 2025, eight shipping barrels filled to the brim with handmade rosaries left for a long journey to Kampala, Uganda. These will help new and existing Children's Rosary groups. The rosaries were made with love by hand. Some 265 rosary making groups send rosaries to us to help the Children's Rosary.
We in turn respond to requests around the world from individuals and even dioceses wanting to launch Children's Rosary groups. In addition to rosaries, 400 Children's Rosary books were sent, 80 Child Consecration books, 1600 miraculous medals, 200 Children's Rosary balloons, 160 color Children's Rosary informational booklets, and 40 A Soul Prepared through Suffering books.
Over the past six months, we have been asking for sponsors for these barrels. Each barrel was labeled with the name or names of individuals who had been the financial wings of each barrel. Some barrels were sponsored by one individual; others had multiple sponsors. One barrel was sent by a wife in memory of her deceased husband. In every way these barrels represent the love of many. We are grateful to Mary Ann Swain, Director of Parish and School outreach for the Children's Rosary, who personally packed each barrel.
The work we do is never complete. With the eight shipping barrels safely deployed, we are now working to fill a shipping barrel for Tanzania and Kenya. This will in part help the Children's Rosary at St. John Vianney orphanage in Rombo, Tanzania. We are still in need of a sponsor or sponsors for this barrel. The total cost is $1,000.
The Children’s Rosary is a non profit organization with 501 (c)(3) status through the IRS. All donations are tax deductible in the United States.
Donations can be made out to Children’s Rosary, Inc. and mailed to:

New Children's Rosary to Meet at St. Theresa's School in Trumbull, Connecticut on May 12, 2025
We are excited to announce a new Children's Rosary group has formed at St. Theresa's School in Trumbull, Connecticut, USA. Their first meeting will be on Monday, May 12. Last week we sent handmade rosaries to the new group to be used by the children.
We had the pleasure to meet Principal Logsdail at the National Catholic Educators Conference in Florida a few weeks ago. We appreciate her help in launching this new group. One of the students at her school had expressed an interest in having a prayer group at the school. The student came to our Children's Rosary Zoom informational meeting last week. He has also been instrumental in the launch of the Children's Rosary. It is encouraging to see children taking the initiative to bring opportunities for prayer to the student body.

Welcome Pope Leo XIV
It has been a wonderful 24 hours of learning more about our new Holy Father. Pope Leo XIII was known as the Rosary Pope. He wrote 11 encyclicals about the Rosary.
Mother Theresa of Calcutta was fond of saying that God does not choose the qualified he qualifies the ones he chooses. While she did not say this in reference to a Pope, we can still imagine that although our new Holy Father has been described as saintly, he can still benefit from our prayers. Thus let us cover him with our prayers. He is the Vicar of Christ on earth. Habemus papam!

Greetings from Rome April 27, 2025
Three of our Children's Rosary group leaders had plans to attend the Canonization of Carlo Acutis this past weekend. Despite the postponement, they still traveled to Rome to attend the Youth Mass. This provided a lovely opportunity for our Children's Rosary group leaders to connect. Janet Vogel from Switzerland and Mary George from Scotland are shown above.
