May We Glorify God

Today we celebrated the fifth Sunday of Easter. Several weeks ago, I heard a priest mention during Mass that the Easter Season is a time for us to, in a special way, glorify God.

How can we glorify God?

In listening to the Gospel reading today these words seemed to speak to this very question:

"If you remain in me and my words remain in you,
ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.
By this is my Father glorified,
that you bear much fruit and become my disciples." (John 15:7-8)

The picture shown to the right was sent to us from one of the Children's Rosary groups in Pakistan. It was taken at the Easter Vigil. Many children are among those holding a candle in the dark street. It is a beautiful thing to contemplate that bringing our worries and needs to God with complete confidence and the gifts He bestows, give glory to Our Heavenly Father.
