Patiently Waiting Campaign 2017

We would like to humbly invite you to join the Children's Rosary by putting a sign in your window as a beautiful reminder of where our hearts can be found as we prepare ourselves for the coming of Christ. After you put a sign in your window take a picture of it and post it on social media or your Facebook page.  Challenge a friend to do the same. Email us a picture of the sign in your window and we will feature them.

Several years ago, I was walking past a home and such a sign was in the window.  It caught my attention.  Each time I walked past it each day I looked at it and was grateful for it. To see the sign made me happy inside. I wondered who put such a sign in their window.  Later I would find out it was a wonderfully holy priest.  After his passing many shared how special this little sign was to them. It was so simple but it sent a ripple out into the community, a joyful one that is still moving in my heart years later even after the soul who placed it in his window has passed on.  What if each of us put a sign in our windows?  Speckles of love sprinkled all over the world.

This is the fourth year members of the Children's Rosary have placed signs in our windows and invited others to do the same. We hope many will join us this year and make it a yearly tradition.  On Christmas day the signs come down and are replaced with ones that say: Christ is Born. We have had people ask us what we are waiting for in the past. What a wonderful question to be asked? It may seem so obvious to us but to many they simply do not know what Christmas is about anymore...especially children. How sad if they never hear why we have Christmas and only think it is about Santa Claus.  We invite you to send in pictures including the city and country where they are taken to blythe.kaufman@gmail.com. We will try to feature them here leading up to Christmas.

The top picture is from our home this year. We are including several pictures from previous years in this post. The picture with the star is from Pakistan. Last year many many pictures were sent from Pakistan. The picture with the palm leaves is from Vietnam. One of our Children's Rosary groups in Ecuador also made a sign saying Esperando Pacientemente (Patiently Waiting).

We can't wait to see new pictures from 2017! Please send in your pictures. This is just another way we can feel connected as we wait for the birth of Jesus.

*Send pictures to blythe.kaufman@gmail.com
