The Children's Rosary of St. Thomas Syro Malabar Mission in Harford, Connecticut met on Divine Mercy Sunday. They met at St. Helena Church in West Hartford. More than forty children knelt in prayer of the Rosary. Both young and older children took turns leading from the podium. It is so nice to see how eager the children are to help lead the prayers. This week the children seemed to be trying extra hard with their prayers. One little boy who sometimes finds himself a bit distracted with his little sister tried so hard this week. He told me before the Rosary that he would try and kneel the whole time without talking. I looked over at him several times. Each time he was kneeling and staying focused on his prayers. I smiled at him nodding in thanksgiving for his efforts. He smiled at me in return. This little boy may be five years old and his sister just three. Yet they are growing each meeting. They are very eager to lead and are now doing better when others are leading, too.
The altar this week was magnificently decorated with flowers to celebrate the Easter Season. A statue of Our Lady was placed before the children. The sun shown down illuminating the place so beautifully where Our Lady was placed.
Please know that the children were praying lifting up in prayer all the members of the Children's Rosary and all who help the Children's Rosary.

How to Start a Children's Rosary
The Children's Rosary® is a prayer group movement that was begun out of love for Our Lady and Her Son. Jesus tells us "Truly, I say to you unless you turn and become like children you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 18:3). The Children's Rosary is an effort to begin in parishes rosary prayer groups composed of children and led by children. Through prayer of the Rosary Our Lady will guide our young people while at the same time sanctify families and Parishes.
