The Children's Rosary® is a prayer group movement that was begun out of love for Our Lady and Her Son. Jesus tells us "Truly, I say to you unless you turn and become like children you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 18:3). The Children's Rosary is an effort to begin in parishes rosary prayer groups composed of children and led by children. Through prayer of the Rosary Our Lady will guide our young people while at the same time sanctify families and Parishes.
Endorsement of the Children's Rosary by Bishop Scantlebury
Recently we had a meeting with Bishop Scantlebury of the Bridgetown Diocese of Barbados. He warmly received us and was excited to see the Children's Rosary spread in his Diocese and also to use the Child Consecration book in his Diocese. We met Fr. Moses K. Gikandi, shown below, who oversees the youth engagement for the Diocese of Bridgetown. We look forward to collaborating with him going forward.
Bishop Scantlebury also brought us to St. Patrick's School where we also were able to meet Principal Marvalene Roach and Sister Dayo Ajayi who teaches catechism for the school.
A new Children's Rosary has formed at St. Patrick's Primary School which is adjacent to the Cathedral. They had their first meeting on November 18, 2022. Approximately one hundred children attend the primary school. We welcome them to the Children's Rosary!
