Children's Rosary® October 2023 Newsletter
The Children's Rosary® is a prayer group movement that was begun out of love for Our Lady and Her Son. Jesus tells us "Truly, I say to you unless you turn and become like children you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 18:3). The Children's Rosary is an effort to begin in parishes rosary prayer groups composed of children and led by children. Through prayer of the Rosary Our Lady will guide our young people while at the same time sanctify families and Parishes.
A Mass will be offered on October 25, 2023 for all the members of the Children's Rosary and all who help the Children's Rosary. We continue to have a Mass said for this intention on the 25th of each month. The Eucharist is such a powerful gift from Our Lord that when we wanted to extend thanksgiving to all of you we knew of no better way to express gratitude. May Our Lord's love be poured down on all of you through the powerful sacrifice of the Holy Mass.
The picture above is from the new Children's Rosary group at St Paul Catholic Church in Mulapar Sialkot, Pakistan. They had their first meeting on September 12, 2023. Children were given handmade rosaries that we sent.

The month of October has seen many new Children's Rosary groups forming. One of these groups is located at St Joseph Church in Clarkston. This is within the Paisley Diocese of Scotland. This new group will hold their first meeting on October 29 after the 10:00 AM Mass.
We welcome this new group to the Children's Rosary!
Members of the Children's Rosary traveled to the National Shrine three day program in Mariamabad, Pakistan in September of 2023. Since 1949, the the National Marian Shrine has been the location of annual pilgrimage on September 8 to honor the Nativity of Mary. Members of the Children's Rosary shared these lovely pictures from their visit to the shrine as part of this special pilgrimage.
Members of the Children’s Rosary prayer group movement led a Children’s Rosary and sang the theme song for the Children’s Rosary. This was followed by Holy Mass.
The Cardinal prayed along with the children and a full Church of parishioners. The Cardinal was presented with a small package of gifts from the Children’s Rosary.
Ticuantepe is a rural area where families grow pineapple and pitahaya. Despite the simple means of the families, the group leader shared that “they did what was possible to make their shirts.”
This event provided an opportunity for the members of the Children’s Rosary of St Joseph the Worker Chapel in Ticuantepe to not only pray with the Cardinal and many families that attended the prayer event but also provided an opportunity to 15 new children to participate. The Children’s Rosary group leader shared her hopes that these new children will help to spread the Children’s Rosary to their respective Chapels and Churches in the Ticuantepe region.
We also shared for the first time new Children's Rosary balloons which were designed and printed in Germany.
They were a very kind gift of Guido Ossemann. If anyone has need of some for an informational table, let me know and we will try to share some with you. There were some rather funny efforts to blow up the balloons with helium and tie them off. We had help from Fr. Elias Mills and two seminarians. The first of which to successfully tie the balloon off accidentally let go and this left us all laughing and looking up to see the balloon perched at the top of the gym of the high school. Students this week probably had a surprise when it came floating down later.
On October 13, 2023 a package was sent to Fr. Kalumbi at Kanyama Catholic Parish in Malawi. During October, which is the month of the Rosary, we are trying to help new and existing Children's Rosary groups with needed materials. Enclosed in the box were 210 handmade rosaries, 20 of our new Children's Rosary balloons (a gift from Guido Ossemann of Belgium), one Children's Rosary t-shirt, 10 Child Consecration books, 38 Children's Rosary books and 30 of the new Children's Rosary color flyers (a gift from Catherine McGowan of Ireland).
This past spring we received many pictures from the different outposts of the parish where new Children's Rosary groups have formed. The picture below is from Magunditsa Outstation.
