Mass Offered On August 1st 2016 for Seminarians

A Mass will be offered tomorrow for all seminarians that they will grow in holiness and lead us all in love.  This is something the Children's Rosary does on the first of each month. As our seminarians will be the future shepherds and our children are the future flock it seemed a beautiful way for the children to help.

The children pictured above are part of our new Children's Rosary in Olmapinu, Kenya. This group was begun by, Br. Cleophus, a seminarian in Kenya. Each group he has begun now has two group leaders and meets weekly.

News from the CMN Conference July 2016

Dear Friends,

We are at the Catholic Marketing Network Conference(CMN) this week. This is a three day event where Catholic bookstore owners, writers, Apostolates, priests and so many more come together to pray and also share news of what they are doing.  Bookstore owners also have the opportunity to buy materials for their stores. This is the fourth year the Children's Rosary has been able to have a booth at the CMN.

On Saturday we began the trip from Connecticut to Chicago, Illinois for the conference.  Our first stop was the National Shrine of Divine Mercy where we held a Children's Rosary at Grandparents Day.  The children were able to kneel before the outdoor shrine and lead the Rosary.  Please know that we prayed for all the members of the Children's Rosary and all who were unifying prayers with us. We prayed in a very special way for grandparents. Pilgrims visiting the Shrine from around the world participated in the Rosary led by the children.  The shrine had four buses of pilgrims visiting that day so there were many in attendance.  The Shrine also has a holy door in honor of the Year of Mercy. We went through the door and while doing so prayed in a special way for all the members of the Children's Rosary.

Our next stop was Syracuse, NY where we celebrated Mass in the morning with one of our Children's Rosary group leaders at Holy Family Church. Our visit was short as we were back on the road.  As night was coming on we entered Cleveland, Ohio and as we left the car we could hear Church bells ringing.  To our complete surprise the Cathedral was across from our hotel and by God's grace we had the opportunity to walk through yet another Holy Door (and yes we prayed for all of you!!)

Our final day of our road trip ended outside of Chicago and brought the opportunity to join attendees of the CMN conference on a short pilgrimage to Mary Town.  This is the National Shrine to St. Maximilian Kolbe.  It was our surprise to see yet another Holy Door.  Yes every day of our trip it seemed we had the blessing to walk through one.  Each time praying for all of you.  God is truly good all the time and we praise Him for such blessing and Mercy.
National Shrine of St. Maximilian Kolbe
So with so many doors of Mercy open we humbly began the Conference full of joy and a trust in God's Divine Providence.  The children and I were physically very tired from such a trip but our weakness it seemed was what we needed to trust all the more that Our Lord would provide the strength we needed.

Just as we were coming home last night from the Shrine to St. Maximilian Kolbe we noticed in the schedule that the Children's Rosary was in the program to open the following day with a Children's Rosary before Mass at 7AM.  This was a beautiful unexpected gift.  The children knelt in prayer this morning to open the conference.  After Mass we went to the Children's Rosary booth.  The picture of the booth is above.  The Children's Rosary groups each marked as little lights against the view of the world at night, hung behind us.  So indeed you are all with us here at the conference.  Your lights giving witness to the prayers of the children truly illuminating this dark world. Tonight in reflection it seems so fitting that Our Lord would show not just one time but three times that His door of Mercy is open.  We have only to walk through.  The children it seems in their innocence and openness to prayer are leading the way with Rosaries in hand.

Again thank you to all the members of the Children's Rosary and all who help the Children's Rosary.  Please know we are praying for you. We humbly ask for your prayers.  Please pray that the Holy Spirit will guide the two days that remain of this Conference and the several days of travel back to Connecticut.  We meet a great number of people at these conferences and there is a feeling that each meeting is for a reason.  We pray that all these little seeds and connections will bear fruit.

Thank you all.

Your Friend in Christ,
Blythe

Mass Offered on July 25th 2016 for all the Members of the Children's Rosary

A Mass will be offered tomorrow, through the Capuchin Missions, for all the members of the Children's Rosary and all who help the Children's Rosary.  We continue to have a Mass said for the this intention on the 25th of each month. The Eucharist is such a powerful gift from Our Lord that when I wanted to extend thanksgiving to all of you I knew of no better way to express my gratitude.  May Our Lord's love be poured down on all of you through the powerful sacrifice of the Holy Mass.

The Children pictured above are one of our new Children's Rosary groups at St. Michael Church in Nasipa, Kenya.

Children Visit Different Holy Doors of Mercy

On May 28th 2016 members of the Children's Rosary in Pakistan gathered for a large regional Children's Rosary event that included a May Crowning.  They also participated in a ceremony of opening of a Holy Door of Mercy at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Butanpura Qila Singh. Last month we showed pictures from the May crowning but we had yet to share pictures with some of the children who are part of the Children's Rosary passing through the door of mercy.

Last night we received word that the Children's Rosary group at St. Paul's Church in Fenton, Missouri had planned a pilgrimage to the Miraculous Medal Shrine in Perryville, MO and also a trip to a Holy door today.

On July 23rd members of the Children's Rosary are invited to make a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Massachusetts to celebrate Grandparents Day.  The Children's Rosary will be leading a Rosary at the event (all members are invited to come and help) and all will have the opportunity to pass through a Door of Mercy.

Novena for the Children's Rosary July 11 - 19, 2016

Dear Friends,
Recently a mother of 6 wrote to the Children's Rosary regarding her hopes to begin a group.  She wrote, "I'm very happy to hopefully join this beautiful tapestry of prayer with children throughout the world."

The image of a tapestry of prayer coming from children throughout the world is indeed a beautiful image.  With children from so many background and parts of the world now coming together in their own Children's Rosary prayer groups, it is heart warming to contemplate the beauty they create as Our Lord and Our Lady gaze down from heaven.  The children in the picture are one of our new Children's Rosary prayer groups deep in the forest of Kenya.

May we humbly ask for your prayers. In just over a week by the grace of God we will be releasing an additional website for the Children's Rosary.  We will be introducing a way for those around the world to see the locations in the world where Children's Rosary prayer groups are actively meeting - real time.  As the children pray they will be a little light on a night sky map.  The map is called a "View from Heaven".  The lights represent the little prayers of the children shining up from our world to Our Heavenly Father.  While we hope to release this website in just over a week we need your help.  We would like to send up a great many prayers through a nine day novena that this site will be an instrument for God and our Blessed Mother.  We seek to release this for the glory of God.    There is still a great deal of work to be done but we know through prayer all things are possible.  Please help us introduce this website through prayer.

Novena for the Children’s Rosary July 11- July 19, 2016

May the Children’s Rosary, their families, those associated with the Children’s Rosary including our priests, our Bishops and Our Holy Father the Pope be the extended hands of Our Blessed Mother and Her Son.  May we gather a great many souls especially young people for the Lord.

In a special way we ask Our Lord to bless the release of the new Children’s Rosary website. May it always be Divinely protected and be an instrument for Our Blessed Mother and God to bring conversions and to spread the Children’s Rosary throughout the world.   We humbly ask the Holy Spirit to inspire and assist the completion of the website, that all may be according to the Will of God for the glory of God. We thank Our Blessed Mother and the Holy Trinity for the graces and blessings that sustain this website project and for all the graces being granted to the members of the Children’s Rosary. Thank you God.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be

"Thank You God"

This past week the priest who heard my confession told me of an old women he used to visit.  Every other word she would say would be, "Thank you God".  She used thank God for his visits, she would thank God when a dinner turned out well.  She saw everything as a gift.  The priest relayed that this women was very holy.  When the women died her family asked this priest what should be on her tomb stone.  He said, "Did you ever listen to your mom? She always said, Thank you God".  This women made such an impression on this priest that he has twice told me of her in confession.

Remembering that this was not the first time he told me this story I began to reflect on whether I had made any changes in my prayer life.  Indeed the thread of thanksgiving had spread within my own silent prayer life but I realized my spoken word was still missing the frequent thanksgiving that the priest shared.  More than ever this week as so many have reached out with news of Children's Rosary groups meeting and new groups forming "Thank you God" should never be far from my lips.

I humbly invite you to join me in trying to saying, "Thank you God" throughout the day.  May I share some pictures that were taken by the children this past week as we were visiting with family. The picture at the top of the page was taken by our 9 year old son who is a member  of the Children's Rosary.  After seeing these sunsets which occured over two nights, I happened to open the Bible and this was one of the verses on the page:

"The Heaven declares the glory of God
The sky proclaims His handiwork." (Psalm 19:2)

The second evening, there seemed to be ripples of color rolling through the sky as you see in the second picture.  This time our daughter who is also a member of the Children's Rosary took a few pictures.  As the sun dipped down the oranges turned to blues and pinks (shown below).  Indeed the sky surely proclaims God's handiwork.

Thank you God!

Mass Offered for Renewal of Family Prayer

A Mass was offered for Renewal of Family Prayer on Saturday July 2nd. In a special way the Children's Rosary has been praying for renewal of family prayer.  We have said over 850 Novenas to different Saints asking for their intercession and help renewing family prayer in our families.  We also have a Mass offered on the first Saturday of the month for the same intention.  One of the members of the Children's Rosary was so kind to sponsor a Mass each month for this intention for one year.  As more and more children come together in prayer of the Rosary in their Children's Rosary prayer groups we pray that prayer also blossoms in their homes as well and throughout the world.  Pope John Paul II was fond of saying, "As the family goes, so goes the nation and so goes the whole world in which we live."

The picture above was taken at the June Children's Rosary meeting at St. Peter Claver Church in West Hartford, Connecticut USA.  The two sisters helping to lead the Rosary were new to the group in May.  Their parents are originally from the South Sudan.  The sisters were new to praying the Rosary when they came to the meeting in May.  However when they returned for the June meeting it was clear that they had been praying at home.  They were so much more comfortable standing up in front of the other children.  It was a beautiful thing to see. We thank the Lord for all His graces that help to rekindle prayer in families.
