May We Glorify God

Today we celebrated the fifth Sunday of Easter. Several weeks ago, I heard a priest mention during Mass that the Easter Season is a time for us to, in a special way, glorify God.

How can we glorify God?

In listening to the Gospel reading today these words seemed to speak to this very question:

"If you remain in me and my words remain in you,
ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.
By this is my Father glorified,
that you bear much fruit and become my disciples." (John 15:7-8)

The picture shown to the right was sent to us from one of the Children's Rosary groups in Pakistan. It was taken at the Easter Vigil. Many children are among those holding a candle in the dark street. It is a beautiful thing to contemplate that bringing our worries and needs to God with complete confidence and the gifts He bestows, give glory to Our Heavenly Father.

Easter Celebrations in Pakistan 2017!

We have received some beautiful pictures from different Children's Rosary groups in Pakistan. Throughout Lent there were reports of the children praying, offering up little sacrifices and also visits from priests to celebrate Mass and offer reconciliation to the children. But now with Easter the children were ready to celebrate the glorious Resurrection of Our Lord. The children held candlelit processions. They also had celebrations on Easter Sunday. As each group met during this Easter Season there was celebrations.

The group leader shared that there were little Easter parties in the groups with some indoor and outdoor games. They also were able to distribute some religious photos to the children.

He relayed that the children were very happy. One can see the smiles on the children's faces.

They also distributed 18 packages of food to orphan women and children. Indeed even though there is considerable poverty the spirit of charity is beautifully alive.

Easter Blessings!

Dear Friends,
Happy Easter!  We wish you all bountiful blessings in your families.

As it is always better to give then receive, we have followed up our Anniversary Novena of Masses for the fulfillment of Our Lady's plans for the Children's Rosary with a novena of Masses in thanksgiving. These Masses began today.

We were able to request 4 Masses to be celebrated today in thanksgiving. Likewise we have 4 Masses requested on Monday also in thanksgiving. We wish to continue having Masses said for 9 days concluding on April 24th.  We are so grateful to the members of the Children's Rosary that have contributed to this effort. We are not sure yet if we will have the funds to continue in this way for all 9 days.

It is not too late to participate in the Novena of Masses in Thanksgiving.

He is Risen!

Dear Friends,

May the Peace and Joy of the Risen Christ be with you all!

Today we begin our Anniversary Novena of Masses for the fulfillment of Our Lady's plans for the Children's Rosary.  As the Children's Rosary is composed of people, indeed it is a Novena to help each one of us fulfill the plans that are meant for each of us.  Today there are three Masses being celebrated through the Capuchin Missions as part of Our Novena of Masses.

As today is Easter many of us will be seeing extended family.  Often it would seem that times when our families gather for special Feasts such as today there are extra challenges in our families.  Please know you are being covered in a blanket of prayers.  There is extra help coming through so many prayers of both the children and all our members.  If you have time throughout the day and this week to draw yourself away in recollected prayer please consider joining the children in prayer.  The children always pray for those unifying prayers with them.

God's Grace

"God's grace is always greater than the prayer which sought it. The Lord always grants more than what He has been asked," adding, "you ask Him to remember you, and He brings you into his Kingdom!" -Pope Francis (November 24th 2013 homily)

Happy Easter

Dear Friends,

May the Peace and Joy of the Risen Christ be with you all!

As we just got home from a full day at grandma's farm with lots of fresh air and time with the animals,  the kids and I just settled in by the fire for our evening rosaries.  We just wanted to let you all know that in a special way tonight, we prayed a rosary for all the members of the Children's Rosary that all would be blessed in their temporal and spiritual welfare and continued to progress in holiness. Maybe it is just our family, but it seems like holidays when lots of extended family come together is just the time when we need these extra prayers.

Beginning tomorrow there will also be a novena of Masses said for the Intentions of Our Blessed Mother.  The anniversary of the first meeting of the Children's Rosary is April 10th and it seemed a fitting way to appoach the next year of the Children's Rosary.  It is our hope and prayer that Our Lady will continue to guide and protect the Children's Rosary leading us all on the straightest path to her Son.

May all have a blessed Easter!
