The Children's Rosary® is a prayer group movement that was begun out of love for Our Lady and Her Son. Jesus tells us "Truly, I say to you unless you turn and become like children you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 18:3). The Children's Rosary is an effort to begin in parishes rosary prayer groups composed of children and led by children. Through prayer of the Rosary Our Lady will guide our young people while at the same time sanctify families and Parishes.

Patiently Waiting in Ireland, France, and Canada
Join the Children's Rosary by putting a "Patiently Waiting" sign in your window as a beautiful reminder of where our hearts can be found as we prepare ourselves for the coming of Christ. On Christmas replace the sign with one that reads, "Christ is Born". This marks the tenth anniversary of the Children's Rosary Patiently Waiting Campaign. We have been receiving pictures from different countries showing their Patiently Waiting signs. The picture above is from the Derry diocese in Ireland. The picture below is from a school classroom in Tullamore, Ireland.

"Is Someone in Your Home Expecting a Child?"
We have had our Patiently Waiting sign up during Advent. When my mother was visiting us, a neighbor walking by asked, "is someone in your home expecting a child?"This sign has created a curiosity as to what our family was waiting for these past 40 days. With the beginning of Christmas on December 25, we will be taking our sign down and replacing it with a sign that reads "Christ is Born". Indeed our family has been expecting a child but maybe not the child others were anticipating. Yet Christmas is about the Christ Child and these are our little efforts to bring Him back to the center of Christmas.

Patiently Waiting In Portugal
Amelia, age 9, has sent us a picture of her "Patiently Waiting" sign. She has put it in her window below but with the reflection it is hard to see the sign and her face next to it.
Recently, she hosted an interview about the Children's Rosary and found out about the Patiently Waiting Campaign. After hearing about it, she wanted to participate. Her video can be seen HERE or watched below:

Patiently Waiting in Simba, Kenya
Yesterday we received this picture from Simba, Kenya. One of our Children's Rosary group leaders at St. Mary's Church had placed a "Patiently Waiting" sign in his window. He joins others across the globe who are participating in the Children's Rosary Patiently Waiting Campaign. The sign which reads "Patiently Waiting" is a gentle reminder of where our hearts can be found as we prepare ourselves for the coming of Christ.
On Christmas Eve, these signs will be taken down and new ones will be put up that read "Christ is Born!"

Patiently Waiting in Connecticut, USA
We are excited to show people participating in the Children's Rosary Patiently Waiting Campaign in Connecticut, USA.
The rectory at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in West Hartford, Connecticut has their sign up in the window (see the brick building above). This is the home parish of the Children's Rosary. Below are several more homes with Patiently Waiting signs. We are grateful to the many people who are participating.
During Advent individuals are invited to place a Patiently Waiting sign in their windows. This sign is a gentle reminder of where our hearts can be found as we prepare ourselves for the coming of Christ. On Christmas Eve, the sign will be taken down and a new one put up that reads "Christ is Born!"
It is absolutely beautiful to pair the Patiently Waiting sign with a Nativity as was done in the top picture.

Patiently Waiting in County Louth, Ireland
One our new Children's Rosary group leaders sent a few pictures from County Louth. The children are participating in the Children's Rosary Patiently Waiting Campaign. The note we received today said:
Our children from Philipstown Early Children went home with their own Christmas crib ...Patiently Waiting
On each little box are the words "Patiently Waiting". These children join others from around the world who are participating in the Children's Rosary "Patiently Waiting" Campaign.
It is absolutely beautiful to pair the Patiently Waiting sign with a Nativity as the children have done or put a Nativity outside.

The story behind the Patiently Waiting Campaign:
A number of years ago, I was walking past a home and in the window a sign read: Patiently Waiting. It caught my attention. Each time I walked past it each day I looked at it and was grateful for it. To see the sign made me happy inside. I wondered who put such a sign in their window. Later I would find out it was a wonderfully holy priest. After his passing, many shared how special this little sign was to them. It was so simple but it sent a ripple out into the community, a joyful one that is still moving in my heart years later even after the soul who placed it in his window has passed on. This made me wonder, what if each of us put a sign in our windows? What would be the effect...these speckles of love sprinkled all over the world. It was from this thought that the Patiently Waiting Campaign was born.
