Preparing Flowers for Our Blessed Mother

The Children's Rosary in Lisdoonvarna Co Clare, Ireland shared pictures of the flowers they prepared for their May Children's Rosary meeting. As May is the month dedicated to Our Blessed Mother, it seems hearts are even more drawn to making each gift extra special. One can see the great care that went into preparing these flowers with ribbon. The children were encouraged to each take a bunch of flowers home at the end of the Rosary to help create a little home altar.
As a special treat for the end of the Children's Rosary meeting, Lourda made special gingerbread cookies for the children.

Here is a video one how to create a home altar:

Divine Mercy Conference 2026

A special thank you to those who both volunteered at our Children's Rosary booth this past weekend at the RDS in Dublin and all those who visited the booth. In the picture above Anne-Marie, Catherine and Ruth are shown. Each helped with distributing information about the Children's Rosary and answering questions about the Children's Rosary. Catherine wrote at the conclusion of Saturday that it was "an amazing day." Many new contacts were made which allows us to potentially involve more children in prayer. A thank you to Anne-Marie who made beautiful soaps and donated them to the Children's Rosary. These were very well received.
Catherine shared after the event, "We were so inspired to meet many Children's Rosary leaders and teachers from all over Ireland who are witnessing the sanctification of children’s lives and that of their families, teachers and communities through the power of the Rosary. We met some groups who pray the Rosary with children in their schools and are now becoming Children’s Rosary members so we all unite in prayer for each other. Thanks also to Eddie and Tom Doherty of NET Ministries who kindly helped us with packing up at the end of the conference!"

First Saturday Conference in Knock, Ireland

The Children's Rosary group leader from Knock Shrine shared, on Saturday 6th December, at the First Saturdays Centenary Conference at Knock Shrine, children from Children’s Rosary groups around Ireland were greatly honoured to lead the Rosary with Bishop John Keenan, Diocese of Paisley, Scotland in front of the Blessed Sacrament in Knock Shrine Basilica. One of the Rosary intentions was that the First Saturday devotion, specifically requested by Our Lady, will spread throughout the world. Bishop John Keenan's presence, as an important shepherd of the Church, and a devoted witness to the Children’s Rosary and Child Consecration, made the occasion even more special and brought great blessings. The celebration continued with Holy Mass, celebrated by Fr Marius O'Reilly, who then led the First Saturday 15-minute meditation. Several hundred faithful joined in this incredible witness of faith.

Bishop Keenan wrote after the event:

It’s a real honour and joy for me to be associated with the Children’s Rosary and with the spread of the Rosary in Scotland.  It is our prayer of Great Hope in these times. We had a very fruitful meeting in Knock in Ireland and I was glad to be able to attend and speak at it.  The Children’s Rosary group led the rosary in the main basilica towards the conclusion of the day, and to great effect. Take care and God bless all the good work, +J

The Children's Rosary from Magherafelt Parish led a Rosary on All Souls Day at the Church of St John, Milltown Cemetery Magherafelt, Ireland.

The Children's Rosary group leader shared, "It was a beautiful crisp autumnal morning and we circled the graveyard laying roses over the graves of  loved ones. I made a huge batch of cookies so children and adults enjoyed these after prayers. It was really lovely."

Children's Rosary led the Rosary at the Eucharistic Procession in Dublin, Ireland

Members of the Children's Rosary led the Rosary at the Eucharistic Procession held in Dublin on September 7. This is the third Eucharistic Procession in Ireland where the Children's Rosary has led the Rosary. The prior processions in Derry and Athlone were wonderful events. It is beautiful to see how the children are taking the leadership role in prayer in the community. See some of the pictures below from the procession which was attended by approximately 1,000 people.

New Children's Rosary at Holy Cross Church in Tralee, Ireland

We received a lovely update from Ciara Buckley who jointly runs the new Children's Rosary group in Tralee.  She shared, "The prior at Holy Cross Dominicans Tralee Fr. David McGovern OP was immediately positive in his response to the suggestion of establishing a Children’s Rosary group at Holy Cross. Fr David was very supportive in encouraging a number of leaders to work together to bring the idea to fruition. He reached out to the many families in the church’s thriving community to come along on our first evening.

Fr. David and the then sacristan, Sr. Edel Mary, were very keen to have the children come to pray at Our Lady’s altar in the main church. It is a beautiful altar, and attracts many people daily and, in particular, during the annual Novena to Our Lady of Fatima in May.

On the evening of July 29th, our leaders Emma and Mary Angela had prepared the altar beautifully, and with great anticipation we waited and prayed to Our Lady for the children to come. It was with great joy we watched as over 30 children gathered to pray on our first evening. The children were very familiar with the prayers of Rosary, and all prayed with a deep reverence and gentleness. It was a very holy and joyous experience for the priests, brothers, sisters and families gathered in the love of Christ.

We look forward with great hope to growing our group and to participating in other Children’s Rosary activities, including our first occasion to pray the Rosary on Radio Maria Ireland on Saturday August 23rd."

We welcome this new Children's Rosary group. The picture above is of the altar where the children led the Rosary. The first meeting was very busy and no pictures were taken. They hope to have a picture next month with the children.

This is the first of the 10 Dominican communities in Ireland to have joined the Children’s Rosary.

Children's Rosary Leads Prayers at Church Cemetery in Ireland

The Children's Rosary group leader at Castledawson and Magherafelt Churches in the Derry Diocese of Northern Ireland sent the following note and pictures.

I'm attaching pictures from our parishes cemetery Sunday Mass where the children prayed the Rosary (after Mass and during the Blessing of the graves). This was an answer to prayers. I decided to ask our Parish Priest for permission to pray at this Mass. Thankfully he agreed. Our cemetery is very large and there were hundreds of people there. Lots came up afterwards and thanked the children for their prayers. Please God we'll be able to do this in years to come.

A Children's Rosary Group Makes a Visit to Radio Maria Ireland

The Children's Rosary from St. Patrick's Church in Celbridge, Ireland gathered in the photo below. They took a mini bus to the Radio Maria Station in Ireland (photo above) where they led the Rosary at 12:30 pm on Saturday June 28, 2025. This was also the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Members of the Children's Rosary have been helping to lead the Rosary at 12:30 pm on Saturday afternoons. It has been a lovely way for listeners to hear members of the Children's Rosary each week from different parts of the country. This is the first time one of the groups has traveled to lead the prayers on site at the station. Usually they call into the station. The children had a lovely visit. Sixteen children attended, six parents, two group leaders and two Radio Maria staff. Anne Carney, one of the group leaders, share "the Radio Maria staff were so welcoming and arranged a little party for the children and parents also. We had a wonderful time".

All Ireland Rosary Rally 2025

The fortieth All Ireland Rosary Rally was held on June 7, 2025, at Knock Shrine. Asher and I had the great blessing to attend the event. Over 10,000 people attended the event.

Members of the Children's Rosary led the Rosary in the Shrine. The seats were full as the children led the prayers and the speakers outside broadcast the young voices across the campus.

Some of the children leading the rosary were very young, but their prayers were strong and confident.

Asher and I spent a good bit of time at the Children's Rosary booth where we had the joy to meet Children's Rosary group leaders and children from across the country and even a Children's Rosary from northern Scotland.
