Children's Rosary in Hamburg, Germany, Celebrates Third Anniversary

The Children's Rosary in Hamburg recently celebrated their third anniversary.

They made a stencil of the Children's Rosary logo in German and decorated bags. We thank this group for their faithfulness to meeting. We often feature new groups when they form but just as important is to recognize the groups that continue to meet. Each group that continues is a victory for Our Blessed Mother.

Offering Sacrifices with Love

The Children's Rosary in Trowbridge, England decided to give handmade hearts to Mary and Jesus during Lent instead of flowers during their Children's Rosary. As is the custom in Children's Rosary groups, at the end of each decade a child or children place flowers before Our Lady. During Lent, this group decided to give hearts with little sacrifices written on one side.

Children's Rosary Anniversary Novena of Masses Begins April 1, 2025

Dear Friends,

This year, the Children's Rosary turns fourteen years old on April 10, 2025. It has become a yearly tradition to offer a novena of Masses leading up to the anniversary for the fulfillment of Our Lady's plans for the Children's Rosary. Then from April 10-April 19, we have Masses offered in thanksgiving. There is still time to request a Mass. Please contact your local Church and ask if there are any open Masses during our novena. Usually there is a customary donation when requesting a Mass.

From April 1 through April 9: Masses offered for the fulfillment of Our Lady's plans for the Children's Rosary

From April 10 until April 19: Masses offered in thanksgiving

There are many projects coming to completion for the Children's Rosary which we look forward to sharing with you. This is a witness of the power of the sacrifice of the Holy Mass. Thank you to those who have helped with arranging Masses. Please consider adding to our number of Masses. If you are able to arrange a Mass, please let us know by sending an email to blythe@childrensrosary.org

Gratefully,

Blythe

Mass Offered for All the Members of the Children's Rosary on March 25, 2025

Happy Solemnity of the Annunciation of Our Lord. A Mass was offered on March 25, 2025, for all the members of the Children's Rosary and all who help the Children's Rosary. We continue to have a Mass said for this intention on the twenty-fifth of each month. The Eucharist is such a powerful gift from Our Lord that when we wanted to extend thanksgiving to all of you, we knew of no better way to express gratitude. May Our Lord's love be poured down on all of you through the powerful sacrifice of the Holy Mass.

Second Birthday of the Children's Rosary at Knock Shrine

The Children's Rosary group leader at Knock Shrine in Ireland shared, On the Feast of the Solemnity of St. Joseph, our Knock Shrine Children’s Rosary group celebrated its second anniversary with Eucharistic Adoration and the Rosary in the Apparition Chapel, facing the gable wall where the Holy Family appeared to a group of villagers in August 1879. Jesus appeared in the form of the Sacrificial Lamb on the altar, beneath the Cross, surrounded by angels.

What made it extra special was that Father Mark Quinn, a newly ordained priest, joined us for our Rosary and Benediction. He consecrated our group to Jesus and to Mary.

The sun shone brightly in Knock for this very special celebration, which was followed by pizza, cake, and fun in the Youth Centre.
We are very grateful to Father Mark and all priests as well as the staff of Knock Shrine for their loyal support over the last two years.
Our Lady of Knock, Queen of Ireland and of the Holy Rosary, thank you and pray for us.

Children's Rosary Helps with Eucharistic Procession in Athlone, Ireland

On the eve of the Feast of St. Patrick, a Eucharistic procession was held in Athlone, Ireland. Members of the Children's Rosary participated.

Shalom World put together a lovely video highlighting the involvement of the Children's Rosary in the Procession. It includes the children spreading rose petals as they walked.

The National Catholic Register also reported on the procession.

Members carried a banner, and on the R/Shannon footbridge, members of the Children's Rosary led those in the procession in the Holy Rosary. Approximately 1,000 people attended the procession.

This follows up the Eucharistic processions held in the Diocese of Derry on the feast of St. Brigid of Ireland. The Children's Rosary also led the Rosary at those events as well.

A special thank you to all the members of the Children's Rosary who helped with this event!

A diagram of the procession route is shown below.

Children's Rosary Group in Grand Island, New York, Meets on the Feast of St. Joseph

We received a lovely email from the Children's Rosary group leader at St. Stephen's Church in Grand Island, New York. The note is included below.

We had a great night on St. Joseph's Day with our second Children's Rosary event! We had 8 children (not including the family members), and we were able to welcome new members! The two boys were eager to join us, and they had attended the first night too. They came right up to the sign-in table full of enthusiasm! The younger boy informed us, "I want to be a holy man just like the men surrounding our Church!" We have statues of Saints surrounding the entire inside of our Church and that is what he was referring to. This is why we took a picture of the two young holy men before the statue of the Holy man St. Joseph on St. Joseph's Day!

We started the evening with a prayer to St. Joseph, gave Blessed Miraculous Medals to the new children (we do that every gathering), offered petitions, and prayed the Rosary. Afterwards we gathered in our Hospitality Room for snacks, and they colored a picture of St. Joseph holding baby Jesus.
There were so many blessings that I could go on and on.

First Children's Rosary on Radio Maria Ireland

We are excited to share feedback from the first airing of the Children's Rosary on Radio Maria Ireland.

We had our first Children’s Rosary on Radio Maria on Saturday 15th March. We set up an altar and had a beautiful Children’s Rosary with a different child leading each mystery. We were able to include some singing and also for a rose to be brought o the feet of Our Lady as we asked fort he grace of each mystery.

We prayed the Glorious Mysteries as Radio Maria Ireland have five Rosaries each day, so we were in sequence with their Rosary on the day.

The Children’s Rosary have been invited to lead the lunchtime Rosary every Saturday from now on, with the exception of the second Saturday of each month.

Consider using the new release from the Children's Rosary, A Soul Prepared through Suffering. This book draws souls to a greater simplicity of spirit often associated with St. Thérèse, the Little Flower, and St. Jean Marie Vianney. This book is for those in the trenches of suffering and for those yet to be put to the test, for it prepares people to understand that suffering shared by a loving God works in ways nothing else can. As God is the director of each of our stories, you may see yourself reflected in this book and find it helps each time you go through it in a different way. Put in the time for this 40-Day journey, and you will find you are different on the other side.

Children's Rosary to Lead Rosary at Eucharistic Procession in Athlone, Ireland

As a follow up to the two wonderful Eucharistic processions in Derry, another procession has been planned for Athlone on the eve of the Feast of St Patrick's Day. Athlone is an historic town in the centre of Ireland. This procession follows immediately after 33 hours of Perpetual Adoration in Clonmacnoise, a nearby ancient monastic settlement which has some of the deepest roots in Christianity in Ireland. The Children's Rosary led the Rosary at both Eucharistic processions in Derry (Guildhall Square and Claudy). Now the Children's Rosary will be leading the Rosary for the Procession in Athlone at 4:00 p.m. This is a great grace. At the Derry Procession in Guildhall Square, the most recent estimates report that between 4,000 and 5,000 people approximately attended. The children, who represented three Children's Rosary groups, led the Rosary. Through their regular prayer in their groups, they have gained enough confidence to lead thousands of people in prayer. The fruits of this witness has led to more new Children’s Rosary groups being started in different parishes around Ireland. For this upcoming Procession in Athlone, which is in the center of Ireland, members from at least three Children's Rosary groups will be participating jointly leading the Rosary on the River Shannon footbridge. One group is traveling from Galway, another from Clare and some from Mayo.

There is more information about this Eucharistic Procession HERE.

All-Ireland Rosary Launch at Knock Shrine in Ireland

The Children's Rosary group leader from Knock Shrine shared, "Saturday, 1st March was a very special day for the Knock Shrine Children’s Rosary group. It was the day of the All-Ireland Rosary Rally launch event, and the same day as our regular first Saturday Children’s Rosary prayer group meeting. The day concluded with our Children’s Rosary and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. This took place in the Apparition Chapel, Knock Shrine, exactly where Our Lady appeared with St Joseph, St John the Evangelist and with Jesus in the form of a sacrificial Lamb on the altar below a Cross, surrounded by angels in 1879. The apparition was silent and lasted for over two hours. It was a great grace to have Fr. Marius O’Reilly join us in prayer and lead us in Benediction. The last Mystery of the Rosary was led by children speaking our native Irish language, a language that has many references to the importance of our Catholic faith. The chapel was full of people from all over Ireland. We are incredibly grateful to Our Lady and her Son, Jesus, that so many graces were bestowed upon all those present."

Praying Before the Blessed Sacrament

Dear Friends,

Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit a Church in Massachusetts, USA, for an evening prayer service, Confession, and Holy Mass. The prayer evening began with Adoration. The priest placed a statue of Mary on the altar that had been crafted to cradle the Monstrance. It was a beautiful image to behold. Indeed Our Lady always leads us to her Son. It is a great blessing to pray before the Blessed Sacrament. If Children's Rosary groups have the opportunity to hold their prayer meetings during Adoration, this is a great blessing.
