The Children's Rosary® is a prayer group movement that was begun out of love for Our Lady and Her Son. Jesus tells us "Truly, I say to you unless you turn and become like children you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 18:3). The Children's Rosary is an effort to begin in parishes rosary prayer groups composed of children and led by children. Through prayer of the Rosary Our Lady will guide our young people while at the same time sanctify families and Parishes.

Recently, Ciarán O Riordan attended the Children’s Rosary with his grandchildren at the Church of the Ascension in Cork, Ireland. He shared his experiences during a virtual informational meeting about the Children’s Rosary.
It is absolutely beautiful what you are doing. Thank you so much for the grace you have sent us because it is needed so, so, so much. Without family prayer the church can do nothing really. There is nothing the priest can do or the bishops can do if the families aren’t praying. Vatican II has taught us so much about the place of the lay person in the Church. I’m a married widower, but I have grandchildren, and my place is handing on the faith to those children and strengthening them. What a joy to see little children kneeling before our Blessed Lord praying our Blessed Mother’s Rosary. It’s such a beautiful thing, and children take to the Rosary like “ducks to water.” I have a grandson, and he’s like any other eight-year-old. He’s a little rough... you know what I mean. He was there, and the lady running the Rosary was anxious about whether they would be able to manage all the decades . . . they were delighted. They were able to manage all the decades and he wanted to do the readings as well and the meditations as well. It really encouraged him. They talk about “by their fruits you shall know them”. When he and his sister came home, the first thing they ran upstairs, and they started looking for their miraculous medals to put them back on - they had lost them as usual. Since that night, they’ve come to my house every night to pray the Rosary, and one of their uncles actually joined in with them to say a decade, and that is an absolute miracle. He joined in with the children to say the Rosary. That’s what you’ve done and that’s what you’re doing worldwide, and there is nothing, nothing as warm-hearted as that because the families are devastated, society is devastated, the schools are devastated, and the country is devastated. We must bring back the family Rosary and that’s what you’re doing, and thank you so much for what you’ve done.

We wish to introduce you to the Children's Rosary at St. Cadoc Parish in Newton Mearns, Scotland. This group recently registered although they are not a new group. They have been meeting since 2012 but were unaware of the international prayer group movement. Bishop Keenan of Paisley, Scotland recently connected this group with us and we are delighted they have joined our tapestry of prayer that extends across the globe.
In addition to this groups meetings for prayers, they meet for a summer barbecue and winter Christmas party. The group leader shared with us that St Cadoc’s Msgr
Tom Monaghan has been very supportive over the years. This summer he brought along relics of Blessed
Carlo Acutis when the group were on a Marian trip to Carfin.

Thirty children gathered together for the launch of the Children's Rosary at Ascension Church in Gurranabraher, Cork City, Ireland. The children took turns coming to the altar to lead the Rosary. Roses were also placed at the foot of Our Lady at the end of each decade by different children.

We are excited to welcome 8 new Children's Rosary groups from the Philippines! Fr. Ronaldo Manabat, Pastor and Rector of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Prelature of Batanes, has begun eight new Children's Rosary groups.
He explained that the island where the Cathedral is located is a remote island.
The Cathedral Parish has 7 communities (villages) under its jurisdiction. The children gather once a week in the Chapel of their village for the Children's Rosary. Once a month the children from all the villages come together at the Cathedral to hold a Children's Rosary together. Fr. Manabat sent these pictures from a recent meeting when all 8 Children's Rosary groups were praying together. It is wonderful to also see Fr. Manabat, as Shepherd to the Cathedral, kneeling in prayer with the children.
We warmly welcome the children from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception to the Children's Rosary.
We are excited to share that the Children's Rosary has received a Papal blessing from Pope Francis. This was conveyed in honor of our ten year Anniversary.
A New Children's Rosary formed today. They held their first meeting in the Chapel of the Catechetical Training Institute in Shendam, Plateau State, Nigeria. Fr. Paul Miapwap the Director of the Institute wrote today with pictures of the first meeting. Fr. Paul is pictured above in white. He joined the children in prayer and said that Bishop Philip Davou plans to also come to some meetings and pray with the children.
The new group will meet each Tuesday and Thursday at 5PM local time. Recently we sent Fr. Paul over 11,000 rosaries to help in spreading the Children's Rosary in Nigeria. Today some of those rosaries were given to the children. Thank you to all who helped to make this possible.

This week we have sent 16 boxes of handmade rosaries to Fr. Paul Miapkwap. He is the Director of the Catechetical Training Institute in Shendam, Plateau State Nigeria. He is photographed above in the center in white; his students are in purple. The students attend the school for two years to become catechists in their parishes. Students who attend are from 9 dioceses in Nigeria: Abuja, Jos, Pankshin, Shendam, Bauchi, Jalingo, Kafanchan, Lafiya and Kano dioceses.
Last June, 65 students graduated and received training in starting Children's Rosary prayer groups in their parishes. They also received a Children's Rosary book, parish welcome packet, and some rosaries. Currently, Fr. Paul has 90 students. Each of the future catechists in the program recently received a Child Consecration book to use in their parish. Fr. Paul is also leading the Consecration with the catechists using the Child Consecration book. He explained that they have almost completed the Consecration. Fr. Paul writes, "The Consecration to Jesus through Mary following in the Spirit of St. Therese, the Little Flower is a powerful prayer that should be said by all. I personally liked the prayer because each day I say it, it renews my spirit and I discover something new. I received the same sentiments from my students."
There were requests from the Catechists that they needed more rosaries to initiate Children's Rosary prayer groups in the parishes. Additionally, the Children's Rosary group at Our Lady of Fatima School in Shendam with approximately 700 pupils was in need of rosaries for the students. The school requested rosaries for the Children's Rosary. Therefore, we have sent a large number of rosaries to respond to this growing need. We plan to continue sending boxes of rosaries. With each box we send, we take a picture of the rosaries. Below you will see the contents of box one.
We also included a picture below of box sixteen.

This new book is a resource for Children's Rosary groups to use. It is another tool to help our children reach the spiritual heights. The goal of the Children's Rosary is to support the prayer lives of children. Each year we encourage children who participate in the Children's Rosary to do a personal Consecration to Jesus through Mary beginning on November 29th and concluding on January 1st the Feast of Mary Mother of God. Please consider using this new book released through the Children's Rosary for your Consecration Journey. This can be purchased through EWTN and EWTN Great Britain.
Happy Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary! We are excited to share that a new Children's Rosary has formed at St. Lawrence the Martyr Parish in Hamilton, Ontario Canada. They held their first meeting on Saturday October 5th. This new group has chosen to hold their meetings monthly on the first Saturday of the month. Their Parish priest Fr. Peter Jurzyk can be seen in the upper picture. He attended the meeting and prayed with the children. Four nuns from the order of Sisters Poor of Jesus Christ also attended the meeting and knelt in prayer. The new group leader wrote that a little boy named Michael led the prayers for the first meeting. His Mother knelt beside him to coach him when needed. The model of the Children's Rosary meetings is a Rosary led by the children. Some children want to lead at the first meeting others take a little time until they feel ready to lead. But over time usually all the children become so comfortable with the prayers that they want to lead. This helps to foster leadership in prayer which is so important. Some of these children may help to bring prayer into their families something that is so needed today. We are grateful to the Knights of Columbus Council in Hamilton, Ontario who have generously offered to sponsor the flowers, rosaries and prayer books for the children to use at each meeting. One of the unique things about the Children's Rosary prayer groups is the use of flowers. This component is optional but is loved by the children. At the end of each decade a child is asked to place a rose at the foot of Our Lady as the group leader asks for the fruit of that mystery. The Knights of Columbus not only have chosen to sponsor the flowers, prayer books and rosaries for the Children's Rosary group meetings but members of the Knights of Columbus Council in Hamilton, Ontario have chosen to support the children by attending the monthly meeting and praying along with them. It is wonderful to see all the support that has been given for this new Children's Rosary group. The goal of the Children's Rosary is to support the prayer lives of children. Each child has a vocation to holiness and the Children's Rosary encourages the seeds of faith to set down deep roots. In a special way we ask Our Lady of the Rosary to pray for our children and our families that we may all progress along the path of holiness.
