We had the opportunity to meet Br. Emmanuel Kamshinen from the diocese of Pankshin, Nigeria, while we were visiting in Rome. Fr. Paul Miapkwap had provided the introduction. We shared with Br. Emmanuel some of our Children's Rosary books and also some handmade rosaries. Bishop Michael Gokum of Pankshin had reached out to us with interest in promoting the Children's Rosary in his diocese. We had sent him rosaries to help with these efforts. After Br. Emmanuel completes his studies in Rome, we are excited to collaborate on the initiation of more groups in his diocese.
The Children's Rosary® is a prayer group movement that was begun out of love for Our Lady and Her Son. Jesus tells us "Truly, I say to you unless you turn and become like children you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 18:3). The Children's Rosary is an effort to begin in parishes rosary prayer groups composed of children and led by children. Through prayer of the Rosary Our Lady will guide our young people while at the same time sanctify families and Parishes.
