An estimated 10,500 people of all ages travelled from all corners of Ireland to attend the annual All Ireland Rosary Rally in Knock International Eucharistic and Marian Shrine in Ireland on Saturday, 1st June 2024. What was particularly remarkable was the number of families and young people who attended. It was very encouraging to see children there from various schools who have Children’s Rosary groups. Several children from the Children’s Rosary led the Rosary on the day.
They were a powerful and beautiful witness to the love that children have for the Rosary. Many people expressed their joy in seeing the children, and commented on how much ‘hope’ it gives them for the future of our Catholic faith. The Children’s Rosary team hosted a Rosary and Scapular making workshop and distributed over 1,500 flyers on the day. Several new Children’s Rosary groups are now forming in schools and parishes since the All-Ireland Rosary Rally this year. During the day, over 200 adults and children took part in Ireland’s first ever Living Rosary, where people both young and old, wearing white and different colour-shirts formed a gigantic Rosary. Dana finished proceedings by singing the hymn which she wrote Our Lady of Knock.
