Mass Offered on December 1st 2017 for Seminarians

A Mass was offered today for all seminarians that they will grow in holiness and lead us all in love. Every month we have a Mass offered for this intention. As our seminarians will be the future shepherds and our children are the future flock, it seemed a beautiful way for the children to help.

We have been periodically featuring different seminarians on the first of the month. We share their stories and how they were drawn to serve Our Lord. We will be featuring Paul Pileggi today. He is pictured above.

Paul Pileggi
Paul Pileggi was born in Huntington and baptized at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish in Melville, Long Island in 1990.
In fifth grade, he became an altar server at St. Matthew Parish in Dix Hills, where he would serve until the end of high school. Paul was a member of the Family Rosary Group at both St. Elizabeth’s and St. Matthew’s for many years. He attended St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington from 2004-2008 and then went on to get his M.B.A. in accounting from St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue from 2008-2013.

Upon working in the Treasurer’s Office at St. Anthony’s High School, he finally entered the seminary for the Diocese of Rockville Centre in 2015, after many years of prayer and discernment.

He is currently studying at Cathedral Seminary House of Formation in Douglaston, Queens as a member of the Pre-theology program. Paul credits the example of his family and the many priests, laity, and religious he has met throughout the years for the role they have played in his vocation.
He is sustained in his journey by the love of Our Eucharistic Lord and the prayers of Our Blessed Mother. His role model is Venerable Fulton J. Sheen.

Please pray for Paul Pileggi and his fellow seminarians. These are the next generation of priests who will shepherd our children. Let us pray they will grown in holiness and lead us all in love.
