Join Us For a Week of Prayer and Fasting

You are invited to join the 22nd International Week of Prayer and Fasting. This week of prayer and fasting for Peace, the Protection of life and the Conversion of Nations was supported by Pope John Paul II and Mother Teresa of Calcutta during their lives.  Pope John Paul II conveyed an Apostolic blessing going forward to all who participate in the week of prayer and fasting.

Last year members of the Children's Rosary traveled by bus from Connecticut to Washington DC to attend the kick off vigil at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.  The children participated in the procession of Nations and then led a Children's Rosary.  The trip was a wonderful experience for the children and through this many wonderful graces and blessings were felt.

During the week of fasting we were given an unexpected gift.  A wonderfully holy priest wrote a song for us.  The song is called "Rosary Children" and has become our theme song.  We recently were able to release several CDs with this song recorded both by the children and a male vocalist.
This year the Children's Rosary would like to participate by inviting members to pray and fast during the week of September 20th for the intentions of this initiative.  This prayer and fasting effort for peace is surely timely given all of the world events.  While some may choose to fast on bread and water some may choose to give up something enjoyable such as watching TV or desserts.  Any sacrifice given with love will be a most precious gift.

The Children's Rosary would like to humbly ask you to include one additional intention for your week of prayer and fasting:
May Our Lady's plans for you, your family, the Children's Rosary and how the Children's Rosary affects the world be realized.

Thank you all and God bless.
