Thank You

Thank you

Today as I was walking to church I was overcome by the beauty around me.The daffodils were in bloom a full 5 to 6 weeks early.  The sun was out and a light breeze blew through the trees.  Instead of two feet of snow as we had last year it was in the 60s and the grass was green and the trees were setting buds.  All nature was awakening.  Normally half of my walk is taken by saying the St. Michaels Chaplet but today I couldn’t help spending the time thanking the Lord.  The weather seemed to usher in the heart felt desire to thank the Lord for his kindness.  However, my attention quickly turned to thanking all of Heaven for their help with the children’s rosary.

In a special way I wanted to thank each family who has brought their children to pray the Holy Rosary with Our Lady. A thank you to all those who have offered to say novenas to invite Saints to pray with the children’s rosary and for us.  A thank you for those from as far away as Russian, the Ukraine, Germany, India, and the United Kingdom as well as those many here in the United States who have visited our blog and united themselves to the children’s rosary.  Through which we might all come to be the extended hands of Mary and her Son.  It is such a wonderful thing to wake up in the morning and see that persons from around the globe have taken their precious time to visit our children’s rosary site.  You are all wonderful witnesses to me of the fellowship and Love we all share together for Our Blessed Mother and Jesus.  Today in the first reading we are told,
"Only take heed, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life; make them known to your children and your children's children" --(Deuteronomy 4:9)
The priest at Mass today told each one of us to hold on tight to the moments when we have felt God’s presence with us and in us.  The moments of pure joy He has shared with us.  Even if you feel your life has been plagued with suffering and hardship when one is honest they find there were moments of joy.  We are told today in scripture to not forget what we have seen and make these moments known to our children and our children’s children.  One must stop and relish these precious moments of clarity and joy.  To speak of them with our family and enjoy the peace that comes from saying thank you.
To quote the author Meister Eckhart "If the only prayer you ever say in your whole life is "thank you," that would suffice."
Lord may the members of the children's rosary always possess a grateful heart. Amen.
