Hot Chocolate and Toasted Marshmallows

The Children's Rosary at St John's Parish in Barrhead, Scotland, had a candlelit outdoor Children's Rosary in November. It was cold, but the families warmed up after the rosary by a bonfire. The group leader shared that for their meeting on December 1 at 6:00 PM they will again meet outside. As a special treat, there will be hot chocolate and marshmallows to toast by the fire. Often Children's Rosary groups consider meeting outside only in the warm weather, but this outdoor candlelit rosary in the winter had an unique appeal.

November 27, 2023 is the Feast of the Miraculous Medal

A special thank you to all who have joined us on the journey of the 9 Day novena of the Miraculous Medal, which concluded yesterday, November 26.

This summer Amelia Grace, age 9, a member of the Children's Rosary, went on pilgrimage from Portugal to France and visited the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. She writes, "Besides the Shrine in Fátima, Portugal, the Chapelle of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Paris is the best shrine I've visited in my life. I [attended] Mass and [prayed] two Rosaries."

Pictures from Amelia's pilgrimage are included above. She also sent us a summary of the important message which was given to St. Catherine Laboure.

"Have a medal struck after this model,” our Blessed Mother told Sister Catherine Laboure, who is now a Saint, on Nov. 27, 1830, when she appeared to her in the Daughters of Charity convent in Paris:

“All who wear it will receive great graces; they should wear it around the neck. Graces will abound for persons who wear it with confidence.”

During Amelia's trip, she got lots of Miraculous medals for her friends and delivered many Children's Rosary books to the Rector of the Shrine. We are grateful to Amelia for her help in spreading the Children's Rosary. She not only brought French Children's Rosary books with her on her pilgrimage and shared them, but she also has continued to share Children's Rosary materials along the Camino in Portugal.

Thank you Amelia!!!

Join Us for the Novena of the Miraculous Medal 18-26 2023

O Immaculate Virgin Mary,

Mother of Our Lord Jesus and our Mother,
penetrated with the most lively confidence in your
all-powerful and never-failing intercession,
manifested so often through the Miraculous Medal,
we your loving and trustful children implore you to obtain for us the graces and favors we ask during this novena,
if they be beneficial to our immortal souls,
and the souls for whom we pray.

(Here mention your petitions *)

You know, O Mary, how often our souls have been
the sanctuaries of your Son who hates iniquity.
Obtain for us then a deep hatred of sin and that
purity of heart which will attach us to God alone so
that our every thought, word and deed may tend to
His greater glory.
Obtain for us also a spirit of prayer and self-denial
that we may recover by penance what we have lost
by sin and at length attain to that blessed abode
where you are the Queen of angels and of men.

Amen.

The Children's Rosary would like to humbly invite you to join us in praying the Novena of the Miraculous Medal (November 18th -26th).
* In a special way may we pray for the intentions of Our Blessed Mother and a fulfillment of Her plans for each of us and the Children's Rosary prayer group movement. We pray for Peace, Peace Peace!  May God help us to put more miraculous medals in the hands of children. Amen.

A kind family sent the Children's Rosary 2,000 miraculous medals to share with children during our month long trip to East Africa in the summer of 2019. The children were so grateful to receive a miraculous medal. Unfortunately, we ran out of medals and many many children did not receive one. We pray God may open hearts to help us send more miraculous medals to not only the children in Kenya but other Children's Rosary groups throughout the world. The family that sent the 2,000 miraculous medals ordered them from St. Paul St. Evangelization.
If there are any souls who feel moved to send us miraculous medals to share with children please send them to:

May God Bless you!

Children's Rosary in Fulda, Germany, Met to Pray on the Feast of All Saints

The Children's Rosary at Our Lady of Fatima Chapel in Fulda, Germany, met this past Wednesday. It was the Feast of All Saints. Before the children as they prayed were prayer cards depicting saints. As this was also the eve of All Souls Day, the group leader included cards with names and pictures of loved ones who had passed. It was lovely that the children prayed for those who have died, which is a spiritual work of mercy. It is also wonderful that the children became more familiar with the communion of saints, who are wonderful role models as the children grow.

All Souls' Day 2023

We would like to humbly invite those involved with the Children's Rosary to pray a Rosary on November 2 for all the deceased members of the Children's Rosary and all those who are deceased who have helped or participated in the Children's Rosary in any way. Children and families can also take the opportunity to pray for those in their families who have passed.

We would also like to invite Children's Rosary groups to make it an annual tradition if possible to assemble a Balloon Rosary in honor of the day. Once completed, the balloons can be used to pray the Rosary. We suggest that the Balloon Rosary be tethered so it does not cause aviation interference. It also allows for those to enjoy the beauty of the Balloon Rosary for the full day. Amelia Grace, age 9, a member of the Children's Rosary in Porto, Portugal, helped to create the "How to" slides below on the steps of assembling a Balloon Rosary. Double sided tape was used to connect the balloons. Pictures depicted in the slides are from members of the Children's Rosary in Pakistan, Connecticut, USA, and Porto, Portugal.

For those unable to make a Balloon Rosary, please take time on November 2 to pray especially for the intention above in bold and for the Holy Souls.
